Seems like about 5% of players I've encountered since Link Ups were added actually know what Drafting is. It's pretty obnoxious that a fully populated Link Up will fail because no one can Draft correctly.
I think Drafting should be removed from Link Ups as no one seems to understand how to Draft correctly.
@Grishnaakh There is a way to complete the Drafting objectives in linkups, but you will need at least one AI cop car for it to work.
If you are driving behind the AI cop car and if both you and the AI cop car are driving fast enough, the game will start counting it as Drafting to complete the objective.
Same goes for Near Misses.
If there's a disabled (immobilized) cop car in the Linkup arena, you can just simply drive past the disabled cop car numerous times and it will count towards the Near Miss objectives.
I am aware of these things, still doesn't change the fact that a vast majority of the players seem to have no understanding of how Drafting works.
i agree with you guys .ive tried to get behind them or slow down for them & all they do is either drive pass me or drive away. idiots.
I've never seen anything as useless as linkups. This is my racing game or my jumping game. I wish offroad racing was added until I put this in. Muscle car races, japan car races etc. It's nothing but *.
Or crash into you. I'm starting to think a vast majority of the NFS player base only has one goal in mind when playing, do whatever benefits themselves the most, and to hell with everyone else.
So good to see that two years after I made this post that people still have zero idea how to Draft in Unbound. I really hope that the next NFS, whenever that will be, the Developers will not include any kind of challenge/link up/what have you that involves Drafting.
