Future updates for NFS UNBOUND

I would love to see a time line of what the plans are for this game. To put it bluntly the multiplayer lacks in MANY aspects. For one thing I want cops back. What is need for speed without the thrill of cops chasing. Second theres this big issue, when I am browsing parts or adding decals I am bombarded by invites to races. There needs to either be an option to turn it off when browsing in the garage or be able to decline them while browsing. This is a MUST HAVE for user ease while navigating the garage. In order to see half of what im doing while adding wraps or parts I have to complete exit what im doing to decline many times.

Another MUST HAVE is either the server cap needs to be raised to 24 to 32 players. Like seriously you guys released a new game that can't handle more then 16 players??? The same cap for heat?? I have YET to play a race with 8 racers. You expect people to regulary play up to 8 when thats litterly HALF the server? Absurd. Either this needs to happen or we need to be able to have up to 8 in a party. Because if EA insist on leaving the server cap at 16 then we need 8 person player lobbies before finding a server again. This way we can actually start a race all together and always have 8. The experience would be extremely better.

Small details make user way of like so much better for this game. Such as having a recents tab for previous wraps you intend to place on different parts of the car. For example stripes need to go on the top, back and front of the car. Each time searching for the same wrap is not a big deal but makes way of life alot easier if their was a recents tab.

Another slightly more meaningful detail is giving the ability for more then just the host of a lobbie pre server launch the ability to buy, sell and customize cars while either waiting for people to join or the host to start it.

I hope to see the map better utilized. The navigation especially at first for looking for collectibles is cluttered leading the user to sometimes be overwhelmed and frustrated. A "have yet to collect" tab for collectibles would be extremely useful.

I understand the game is not based around crews anymore but I would love to have that back. A group based setting of collected players who want to have a "tag" to sport and make known is nice to have and brings players together just a little more. Plus to show off your crews skills or sick wraps. Me and my friends always use black carbon paint and red metallic decals as a midnight theme while we race. You know we are a group when you see us passing or crashing you off the road. Menaces of night was the name in heat. Would be midnight menaces in unbound if we had a crew option.

      Conclusion.

If the game is left were it is with no changes at all to gameplay the game will never go anywhere. We don't need games rinsed and repeated unless they take what was good and make it better. For example if theres no cops then why can we not telaport to garages? Why was cops taken out in the first place? Would love to focus on night racing again. I love the game but if nothing I said becomes a reality for the game me and many players for this game won't play nearly as much as we would having even half of what I said.

These changes I presented I belive would VERY much help the game and its players. You guys have done a fantastic job with the game. Theres just small details you guys missed that make life on the game much more enjoyable. The server and or pre game lobbie limit needs to be increased. You are not even able to invite while in a server with space after you reach the 4 person party limit. Its too low and the server cap for players is also too low. Its frustrating, as we as racers LOVE to be challenged and when your only able to do it on average with 2 to 3 people in a race you want to do while grinding money and challenges is borderline boring. I really hope to see these changes.

  • @mxc9s3dd Really good post. I hope they're listening, bc I have a bunch of friends sitting on the sidelines that won't be purchasing the game unless the multiplayer is improved.

Lobby sizes, and more race options are number 1 on the list (also move the damn race request pop up for people that are in their garage modding, plz!).
  • @mxc9s3dd Highly doubt Unbound will get many updates as the game flops in sales chart performance.EA may drop the game after half a year or so since it isn't the commercial success EA wants in the end.

Half a year? I won't give it more than 3 months.

@Anonymous Make it 2. Maybe it gets one feature update since the game lacks everything. Then EA will make an statement that no one plays this game and will cut all future support. Just look at what happend to NFS heat.

The game is already 40% off.
  • @CyrisTM Judging by previous EA record.Fake Criterion may become the next victim and gets killed after only a single title.Previous record was held by SMS with only 2 Shift games before being dropped/cancelled by EA.

Lmao spot on. They release $70 Triple A titles that are short on content and full of bugs. After the inevtible poor reception, they use it as an excuse to drop the game (or leave a skeleton crew team to pickup the pieces.) Then they move on to the next project and the madness continues.

  • @JayRupp Since Fake Criterion is just Ghost under a new name.Similar problem may return if they have chance to make following titles. But in the end they will get into the EA typical Buy Rush Kill cycle and get replaced by CM or any other team to start the cycle again and again.
  • And let's not forget the option to remove cartoon effects. These effects make the game childish, and for the price of games currently, only adults play (mostly). So if you want to sell more, don't make games childish.

  • @JayRupp Fake Criterion leader Matt Webster has left Criterion for the failure of Unbound (Along with few other key tech guys and project leaders) NFS executive produer was changed to UFC team's Charity Joy and development director will be CM's Geoff Smith from Grid and Dirt series. So clearly CM will be the next victim in NFS series after Fake Criterion fell apart again.
