Hoping NFS Unbound is not an online-only game

Question

While I am excited that a new NFS game is being released this year on December 2, 2022 after three years (two years if you count NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 Remastered), I am hoping NFS Unbound is not an online-only game like NFS World, NFS No Limits, and NFS 2015 (NFS Reboot) were.
I want to be able to play NFS Unbound in single player and offline anytime I want like I own the game, not like just have the privilege to play NFS Unbound if it's an online-only game.

This is my biggest concern for NFS Unbound, especially with the mention "weekly qualifiers" and making it sound like it's an online-only live service game like The Crew 2 and its weekly live summits.

Agreed I really don't like when games go the whole online-only route, I don't want to feel chained to the internet especially if say my internet goes down and then I can't enjoy the game?!?!

@TheRealJony I think offline gameplay is going to be included in the game :D
