In Response about NFS Unbound [2024/18/7]
It's been a while I've never played the game, and I've heard of the new drift handling/physic that came up this vol. 7, and was very excited to try it out as I thought it may be better than other games. However, the handling is separate, as it comes through another type of drift tyres called "Drift Pro", yet they never implemented this in single player mode. This disappointed me a lot. I play in PS5 btw but my PS+ subscription (shame on you too Sony btw) is over since last year, so I can't go online just to try the new handling.
GOD!! Why did they even have to implement it on another type of tyres instead of nerfing the ordinary drift tyres?? Especially the regular drift handling is very cringe and useless.
Anyways, I may believe the devs would add those tyres too in singleplayer mode, but why not both as of now!?!? In order to avoid such hassles. And that's the main problem of the game ever since release: Adding all the necessities just now rather than the start! Also due to them removing the cool/important features from Heat when they import them to this game.
Now moving onto DLCs, YES!! Absolutely, the DLCs are so * atrocious!! Criterion's basically making things harder for us! Ever since this drift handling system made me uncanny, now they make the R8 a paid DLC vehicle after Vol. 6, and yes, those Catch-up Volume DLCs are pretty much annoying!! I feel like this game is becoming pay to win after all, though not neccessary. They're basically still taking the fun away from us.
If you remember this Justice League game where things used to be good and all of a sudden the devs start adding these atrocious DLCs in order to progress or have a complete game?? Same thing with Unbound, especially the game being paid (quite expensive than Heat), in order to have a fully complete game content. Also not to mention that Unbound wasn't really good at the beginning since it's release, like taking away the developed features from Heat (Camera mode for example).
I prolly couldn't say more, but just to mention, or actually we all know, that Unbound is TOTALLY messed up. I have wasted all my time of fun and grinding back then playing this game, and when I realized everything, especially checking most of the DLCs (as in there were a lot), my time has come again to quit and stop playing this * forever.
Not to mention there are many more problems such as "Drag" events being taken away, as I've heard from some. I haven't tried the drag events yet since I've left around vol. 3, but based on research and I'm seeing most of the complaints from the fans as well.
Oh, have you ever wondered why the P60B40 swap was removed for the regular M3?? While the iconic Le Mans body kit remains intact, EA and Criterion won't let you find the other way around your personalization as you have to go through a pay wall for the separate M3 GTR. Stupidly though, the subscription doesn't even include the engine swap for the regular M3.
There are a bunch of flaws in this game we've already seen, but things are literally getting worse compared to Heat.
I know really made a bad decision buying Unbound, but I thought things could've done better. Heat could've been better too on the other hand. But I will never forgive how Criterion shamed themselves. So good luck to all fellow racers out there, and when there's a new NFS, we all know the drill, whether you have the urge to buy or not: ""DO NOT BUY"" (unless your a professional content creator / tester)
