I am writing to inquire about the functionality of in-game purchases and data saving in Need for Speed: Unbound for PlayStation 5.
Approximately a month ago, I encountered an error (Error 9) while playing NFS Unbound offline. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I followed a tutorial from YouTube, which unfortunately led to the deletion of my saved data on the PS5 system. Consequently, upon returning to the game and accessing the story/offline mode, I discovered that all progress had been lost. I understand that this situation is a result of my actions, and while I am eager to learn if there might be a way to recover the lost data, it is not my primary concern at this moment.
During the same period, I also deleted saved data for Fall Guys, another game on my PS5. However, upon re-entering the game, I observed that the saved data remained intact. This discrepancy has prompted me to seek clarification regarding the saving mechanism in NFS Unbound, particularly in its online mode.
My primary concern revolves around the assurance that in-game purchases and progress in NFS Unbound's online mode are securely tied to my account. Unlike Fall Guys, which I understand is developed by a different company, NFS Unbound's offline mode did not retain progress upon the deletion of saved data. Hence, I am uncertain whether the online mode operates similarly or if in-game purchases and progress are tied to the account itself.
As I contemplate subscribing to PS5 Plus and potentially making in-game purchases in NFS Unbound, clarity on this matter would greatly influence my decision.
