PREPARE FOR LOCKDOWN

5 Crews of up to 3 players are pitted against each other, the Lakeshore Police Department and the relentlessly expanding Lockdown Zone, in an all-new PvPvE multiplayer mode!

Work together with your crew to complete Contracts and break into Lockups to loot Hot Rides which you can keep IF you can extract them by chasing down and owning the Extraction truck. All this madness has been kindly laid on by your not-so-friendly neighborhood Racer X. He is looking out for talent, acting as puppet master, putting on events with Pursuit tech active, controlling when the Lockups open and Extraction trucks roll in. Oh, and not to mention disclosing where you can find for the first time in NFS, a motorbike, that will give you and your crew the edge in this new way to play NFS. You need to get in, take what's yours, and get out before the whole of Lakeshore is on Lockdown!

LOCKUPS AND HOT RIDES

Break into Lockups to escape with Hot Rides, which include Racer X’s Custom BMW M3 GTR ‘05, and 15 rides inspired by Most Wanted's Blacklist and some of the hardest to acquire rides from NFS Unbound. Escape the Lockdown Zone with these vehicles by extracting to keep them and use across Free Roam, PVP and Lockdown. Vehicles in the Lockups will change up each week!

EXTRACTION PLAY

Claim the Extraction Truck with your crew before your rivals to safely escape the Lockdown Zone with your loot and Hot Rides! Fail to claim it before it leaves, and you risk being wrecked by its deadly EMP blast.

MOTORBIKES

For the first time in NFS, drive the BMW S 1000 RR 2019 in Lockdown mode and some special PVP/Free Roam motorbike playlists! Bikes will get you into the Lockups without the need to pay and are impervious to the Zone, so make good use of them.

NEW RIDES

Two new cars are set to bring a modern classic JDM flavor to Lakeshore. The Honda Integra TYPE R and the SUBARU Impreza WRX STI have pedigree both on track and on the streets. The Integra, a favorite for anyone seeking a pure driving experience with its high-revving VTEC power, will be nimble enough to get out of any situation during Lockdown, whilst the SUBARU with its rally pedigree and four wheel drive is more than equipped to take on whatever is thrown in its path from Lockdown rivals to Lakeshore’s finest!

THE ZONE

The Lakeshore PD is locking down the city with a new EMP wall tech that damages cars when they are inside it. Sections of the map will be locked down over the round, but these areas will have the highest loot rewards. Stepping inside will not only make you take damage over time but take you straight to Heat level 5, so watch out!

CONTRACTS

There are 4 sets of Contracts for players to work through in Lockdown sessions, including the Blacklist contracts! For these, grab the Blacklist inspired vehicles from the Lockups and extract  to keep them and tick them off the list. Collect every Blacklist contract and unlock the original Most Wanted BMW M3 GTR!

SPEED PASS*

A new volume means a new Speed Pass and we’ve got another one packed with customizations across 45 tiers of unlock. Coming in Vol. 9 Speed Pass is the new SUBARU Impreza WRX STI, with multiple bodykits and Lockspec Customs to gain in Lockdown. • EA and Criterion Games cooked with this supposedly last Volume 9 NFS Most Wanted 2005 inspired update. I am very excited and hyped for NFS Unbound's Volume 9 update that launches next Tuesday. 🙂

I've played NFS Most Wanted 2005 before, so I'm definitely the target market for this update with the nostalgia I have for NFS Most Wanted 2005. lol

Not a big issue, but I wish Harlow and A$AP Rocky were one of the character skins for Lakeshore Online Multiplayer. ☹️

In the story mode, I've placed bets against Justicia (for both Tier B and Tier A), Harlow (for Tier A+), Lyric (for Tier S), and A$AP Rocky (for Tier S+). I've completed previous Speed Passes that unlocked character skins for both Justicia and Lyric, so I can play as either of them whenever I wanted to.

It would've been nice to also play as Harlow or A$AP Rocky as well.

P.S. I'm also able to drive the exact cars Justicia and Lyric used in the story mode as well from completing the previous Underground League and Racer League too. It would've also been nice to drive the same car Harlow used in the story mode.

A$AP Rocky's ride is a different story as I can drive his car no problem after beating him in a 1v1 race in story mode.

  • I hugely respect the amount of work the Kaizen team have put into the game this year, even if I'm not personally in love with all of it. And I'm a little bummed that  bikes are exclusive to the competitive modes.

I know I'm a real outlier here, but I still just keep coming back to the game for the linkup experience. Bikes would be fun to use in those! Although I'm not sure bikes can drift, so that would have been an issue I suppose.

I'm just not a PVP player any more.

If this is actually the last update, then I'm wondering if you could just unlock every car in multiplayer for purchase. The game's been out for two years, and I still have dozens of cars locked because I haven't been able to complete all the hyper specific-objectives needed to unlock them. I have millions of in-game dollars, I would love to actually spend some of that money before the game reaches end-of-life.

  • @EA_Illium Since Volume 9 is the last update, will it somewhat serve as a sort of pilot or prequel to the NFS Most Wanted remake and will Clarance Callahan aka Razor will make a cameo appearance and the Corvette police sergeant Johnathan Cross too.?
  • Was trying to play earlier & ran into speedpass issues.

I cannot access my paid premium. It's still locked.

  • Dear Nfs Team,

First of all, I want to thank you for all the hard work and the fantastic new content you’ve brought to the game. I truly enjoy playing and appreciate everything your team does to keep the game fresh and exciting for the community.

I’d like to make a small request that I hope you might consider. I've noticed that some car models are present in the game files but aren’t accessible for players. One of these is the Dodge Charger SRT8, a model I, along with many other players, would love to see included in a future update, perhaps in Volume 9.

It’s a bit saddening to see such great content being out of reach in the game. I believe many players share the same excitement about the possibility of seeing the Dodge Charger SRT8 added as a playable vehicle. Could you kindly share this request with the development team? I’m sure it would bring joy to a lot of players, including myself.

Also, if it’s not asking too much, it would be amazing to see the SRT8 featured as one of the police vehicles in Volume 8. I think this addition would be a wonderful surprise for the community.

Thank you so much for considering this request, and for continuing to create such an enjoyable gaming experience. Sending my best regards and warm wishes from Japan!

    Sincerely,

       "Scriptease"
