Need for Speed Under the Hood - Vol. 2 Patch Notes

Hopefully this is the prequel of better things to come.  I like this game and think it deserves more praise..  as somebody that has been alive long enough to play every NFS game on launch,  this one to me is up there.

Two things stand out to me in those notes though..

* Limited the ability to downgrade cars to one tier below stock

Anything less than removing the ability to do this completely isn't enough..  being able to limit the top speed of a car with a 5 speed or 4 speed gearbox and drop it down a class doesn't change the fact it has more power and torque than the class its now in.  In conclusion they just aren't balanced and average skilled drivers will leave you behind while driving them.  It isn't just the classic B class pista its literally all of them. 

* Added the ability to swap cars out on each race in a playlist, so players can choose cars better suited to each event type

All this is going to do is create even more meta cars..  just now its going to not only be class meta but track meta..  

The biggest problem this game has right now with player retention is balance and meta cars..  we want to be able to drive cars we like in classes that are somewhat balanced..  the game has a load of cars but it gets boring seeing the same meta cars walk everyone in every class..   leading more people to use the meta and more people to stop playing
