Need for Speed won't open

I've recently tried to reinstall NFSU through steam however anytime I try to open it, EA opens and says preparing game for 20-30 seconds, and then says sorry the app timed out. I tried to open it from EA, however anytime I go into the EA app all of the games I have(installed and not installed) show a warning triangle on them and my only option is to manage the game(which only says purchase a version of the game). I've tried many solutions including contacting EA, however none of them have worked. One solution had me uninstall EA completely and reinstall it when prompted by steam. When I uninstalled EA, NSFU showed up on windows as an app while previously it wouldn't show up in EA's game files and it would show up in Steam's game files as "Excalibur." I've tried messing with network settings, reinstalling and installing, firewall settings, and clearing the cache who knows how many times.

Please help me resolve this issue.
