NFS Unbound Volume 6 Feedback

Hi there,

so you folks have published some questions on Reddit and X asking for feedback. My special needs son wants me to help post his responses here. Thanks.

-----------------------------------------

•How do you feel about the new Rank system so far?

It is definitely a nice addition to have besides the speedpass, where it gives players an incentive to chase progression by playing NFS Unbound in the long term. It is an indication of dedication to the game and not of dedication to or display of skill though, and the incentives are only to increase your rank to get fixed banner titles. So it can be improved is what I feel.

•Have you been playing in order to increase your Rank, or has it just been a nice stat to have?

It is definitely a nice statistic to have to show how much time you put into the game to practice your driving skills, although I do not play to increase my rank for other reasons, but I am waiting to see what is there that the developers at Criterion are eager to offer and change with the game.

•Are you finding the rewards to be valuable?

Maybe the banner titles for showing how far you have come, but was hoping for some character poses, driving effects, vanities, turbofan or infinity rim sets, license plates to spice things up. Maybe even put in some legacy quotes from previous games into the banner titles would be helpful and valuable to have. Overall the value of the rewards could be improved.

•Have you progressed more quickly, more slowly, or as expected?

As expected, and it will only be more work going forward through the ranks, which I think is a good thing.

•How would you like to see us improve this system in the future?

Could be wrong on this one, but maybe scale multiplayer exp rewards  (racing would be based on number of points in a speedlist and linkups would be how much percentage you contribute) with a multiplier. The rank levels will only require more amount of effort to get, but the catch is that the multiplier is earned based on how well you do, and this multiplier will be the one scaling up your exp rewards.

For example, for a final 5 points in a speed list is x0.5, 10 points is x1.0, 15 is x1.5, 20 is x2.0 and so on. Link up percentage contributions like 10% or 15% for each phase will translate into x1.0 and x1.5 respectively and will be added over the course of the phases completed to determine your final exp reward multiplier.

That way your rank will not only show your dedication to the game, but how well you do will also determine how fast you are going through the rank system, especially since there be more exp to earn for each rank for a total of 800 ranks, 200 for each volume. So if you see a player with a high rank, you will know as of now how much he/she has done to progress through the ranks. Everyone stands to gain, not lose, something, it is how quickly you gain that will be the indicator of how much you have put in to sharpening your skills behind the wheel, as well as a display of your skills. This might give players the incentive to sharpen their skills at driving in order to gain more exp for their rank, although for the base exp for the multiplier (eg.stick to base 3000xp and multiply from there?) I will admit I am not sure where to put it, which I hope the developers will be able to scale accordingly to make the game fair for everybody.

Other improvements include adding more vanity rewards to the rank system like character poses, driving effects, vanities, turbofan or infinity rim sets, license plates, maybe even tying those rewards and more to past Need For Speed titles, adding legacy clothing, character skins, and quotes for banner titles. Decals might be a good thing as well, while tying these with legacy decals from the past might be even more interesting for players (past decals from Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, Carbon to name a few).

you might also want to tell them that their hard effort to kick out leeching players is defeated by a rubber band on the gas , stop trying to control how people play , if I do not want to play a race out of the three that is my choice, no one should be kicked out for that , so maybe next time do some actual work instead of a quick dumb fix

So, when you switch from multiplayer to PVP, it's ok that you just go back to the garage, but it would be better, just like we play party every day, that you leave the party together when you switch, so you have to do that every time you switch From multiplayer to PVP, invite the party again.

@Kith_CPersonally, I love the time reduction between linkups. Although, I would prefer a dedicated mode for linkups. I still find myself hopping between servers trying to find linkups that are early or just about to start.
In Forza horizon, I can find new sessions in seconds; it's quite cumbersome to leave a lobby and find a new one that takes 2-4 minutes.

Edit: in case anyone isn't aware, when you're leaving a server, if you leave via the standard pause menu, you'll be returned to the multiplayer menu, but if you're leaving via backing out (B on xbox, O on PS5,) via the garage, you'll be returned via the main menu. Obviously, if you just back out to the multiplayer menu from the pause menu, you can find a new server much quicker than loading into the multiplayer menu, THEN finding another multiplayer lobby,

@EA_Groguet hey, so I have a suggestion, based on a recent blackpantha (biggest NFS youtuber) video in which he explained that he didn't care about racing and didn't want to race (there are lots of players like him), linked with timestamp [https://youtu.be/9RuZXcqOFLI?si=RSl5tzrk-Jmp3eV0&t=199].

I STRONGLY disagree with his views, he never wants to race, and I am the opposite, I do want to race, both in freeroam and in PVP, How about possibly having an option for a "Casual Server" for people like blackpantha who have no interest in racing? This server type would have the races removed, so the people in it are free to do linkups, cop chases, cruises etc, then the regular server type is left to people who actually want to race (you can see people in the video sending out race invites), whether it be to unlock cars, or to do drift races or gauntlets etc. This would group the non-racers together and group the racers together, helping alleviate the issue of people having all their playlist invites rejected. With the servers as they are now, we have the racers and the anti-racers grouped together and it's negative for both parties, especially the racers. In this hypothetical scenario a player would choose between the standard and the casual server the same way they would choose between freeroam and PVP.

The developers seem to think that implementing PvP means nobody wants to race in freeroam anymore which just isn't the case. If they were to implement this idea, they could also extend the time between linkups in the regular server, and leave the 15 minute linkups in the casual server, since linkups take away from the racing.
  • My feedback is simple.

When I steer the car to the left or right in bumper view, the game shakes the camera laterally to the left or right, i.e camera shake.  When you play on -> keyboard <- it becomes very nausea inducing, and no, I'm not going to use a controller.

You have pretty much ruined four NFS games with this feature, and yet you continuely add it into NFS games.  I could've been enjoying NFS 2015, Heat, Payback, and Unbound at this very moment, if not for this game mechanic.  Instead, I ended up removing all of your NFS games from my Steam library, since they are practically useless to play -> and since your Studio and Ghost have consistently ignored any feedback related to this issue.

So yea, no real point in me buying NFS games anymore.

  • Hi everyone !

The Vol 7 arrived soon and i Hope the dev's read that post.

For the future please check this list

🔵 I would like to see more "Legends" content with bosses to defeat to earn their car. Why not the whole black list or even the King's of prostreet...

🔵 For the content we could have emblematic events of the old ones such as the canyon races.

the weather as in the run etc.

🔵we would have to be able to do “legends” events but with something new so as not to do it exactly like it was back then.

🔵possibility of creating and saving sticker creations to use again (be like GT7 or TCM

    (And fix error code 9)

More stickers (old unique from old NFS nad New)

    🔵More music (themes by volume)

🔵More ''Epic custom'', ''Rare Custom'', ''Legendary Custom'' and old kit off NFS & Autosculpt.

    🔵More Real wheels

    🔵Add old cars :

    _Mustang GT 2005,

    _Lamborghini Gallardo,

So my opinion on the PVP lists. The PVP are the meeting place for rammers and hinderers and for cheaters. So I've been playing Unbound since its pre-release and I've been learning a lot from the progamers to try it out. Ok, I've been writing down the times from the race lists for a long time to compare how much difference there is to the pro gamers, and there isn't much difference, and the difference only arises because I drive with automatic, and the pro gamers mostly drive manually. So when I race in PVP now, there are gamers whose names you've never actually read in multiplayer, but who have times that every pro gamer would dream of. And if you watch the last video on YouTube by a pro gamer, you know exactly that the pro gamers also know about the cheaters. And that's why I don't give a * if I don't complete the PVP objective for another 2 years.
