Nitrous still broken after all these NFS games

I have been playing NFS games for a long long time now. All of them have many problems, but all of them also have the same nitrous system that when you hit the NOS everyone else speeds up with you if not faster than you. What is the point of having NOS if it does not help to make only your car go faster. I was playing Unbound yesterday & I was fighting for first place going around several drifting curves, then the AI racer I was fighting with, crashed & when he did, I decided to hit the NOS hoping to get a little room between us, but when I hit the NOS, that AI racer who just wrecked, suddenly & instantly jumped right in front of me so I was on his bumper. Me hitting the NOS made him glitch to in front of me. I know this is not a new problem for NFS, but you would think they might eventually fix this. They should either fix the NOS system, or not use it at all.
