Players quitting causing issues in PvP, needs some kind of fix

There is a big issue with the hivemind mentality and quitting in PvP, and I think there need to be some sort of improvements to the matchmaking system to account for this

When players see other players quitting, a lot of the time it causes a domino effect and players just blindly follow each other and quit the game, yesterday I was in a PvP lobby where by the final race we had gone from 8 players down to just 2, and the other player quit during the final race which is just comical, I ended the playlist completely alone. This quitting thing is a problem both in the PvP waiting lobby and when in inside playlists, but it's much worse and more annoying when queuing up in the lobby

The main issue is that at the waiting lobby, if you're alone on the server, it's either no one ever joins or it takes AGES for other people to join you, it's as though the matchmaking is made to avoid putting people in these 1 player servers which is incredibly irritating because every time everyone else quits and leaves you alone, you also have to quit and endure LONG load screens (much bigger issue on PC) just to get back to the garage and find another game. It's the worst part of the PvP experience

Now I understand why the game would prioritize putting people in more populated servers, but if I'm alone in a server the game should then prompt me and give me the option to move to a more populated server or something like that, without me having to do the tedious task of quitting to the garage and sitting through long load screens without the guarantee of finding a good server the next time round. This would solve the entire problem

I feel changes are absolutely necessary here since it already is an issue now, and it will only get worse once the game stops receiving updates and the playerbase shrinks. Getting into populated PvP lobbies will only become harder with time, and getting into full lobbies for the modes which aren't as popular like drift pro will be damn near impossible without some sort of changes

I totally agree. When I wrote about the same problem in another topic, a man accused me of talking nonsense. For him, it was not a problem to stay with 1 person in the race that started with 8 people. I wonder how he enjoys racing alone. People enter the race with a rented vehicle and leave before the race is even halfway through. I said, "Why are you entering a race that you will lose anyway and occupying space?" This also seemed ridiculous to that person 🙂
In my opinion, the person who leaves the race should be given at least a 30-minute penalty to enter the race again. They should not occupy the server for no reason.

@2smokeTM You need to go look for a besties group that you can play with 24/7 365, so that you don't get hurt being alone. Legit such a baby, crying about people leaving while they drive rental cars. Why do you think people drive rental cars, and do you think it's fun driving a rental car when you have Mr. X, and other non rental drivers in the game, max bursting with their R8 and other meta slave cars in front ? Of course they're gonna leave the game.

At least @79Squeeze has good points about how the game & devs could handle this better, but for You, every argument that you have is about the people playing the game.

I'll type it again; you are ridiculous, and you spout absolute nonsense.

Hey guys, why antagonize each other? It's good that people leave playlists, it's always been that way, and since you can race alone in multiplayer, you rarely have more than one gamer in a playlist anyway.

OK, we who play every day, and 90% of the time we're always in a party, all drive with manual transmission, which means you're much faster from the start than the gamers who drive with automatic transmission. And if you can also take corners well and master microdrifting, then you can easily get a lot of decency out of it. And if the gamers are far behind, they just leave the playlist, OK, then they don't need any money or XP, because the gamers who keep driving always get the money and XP from the number of gamers who were in the playlist at the start. OK, if a gamer is driving a rental car, we sometimes look to see what level this gamer is at, for example if he is level 1 to level 5, then we discuss it briefly and let this gamer win the race, because none of us need any more money or XP, we just drive because we all enjoy racing. But OK, these rental car drivers often leave the playlist because otherwise they lose.

And as for the point about the ban, if someone leaves a playlist, then you will definitely have empty servers in the future where you can only race alone, so this point is not necessarily good.

Because we party gamers do a lot of challenges where you need to have a good time, and at the end of the challenge there is a list of all the gamers who took part in the challenge. And for this reason we sometimes leave the playlist too, because maybe we had an accident, and if you have an accident, you won't get a good time anymore. When we race for fun, we never leave the playlists, whether 1st or 8th, not every race is the same, but it's fun.

So, here there is only play money, and play XP and also play ranks, but have fun with each other and no war.

@JudyRacingI was never here to try and antagonize someone else, but when some person drops an attitude, and talk crap across two posts, I won't sit here and do nothing about it.

Also wanted to add that, I play every day and do not use manual transmission. I also don't ride in a party, ever.

As for the rest of your post, this is pretty much how I race and join lobbies. Having rookies with rentals or whatever in my game, gives me an opportunity to drive other cars that I don't normally drive. The people leaving games are also not there for xp or cash, I think we can all agree on that.. and as you wrote, the 'gamers' will stay to get those two things in order to progress faster in the game, like you and me did when we first started.
