Remove or add disable option for cartoon effects!
I have no words... it looks like crap and totally undecided with those dumb effects.

If these effects are only in cut scenes then there is no reason for such an option. Otherwise its absolute needed that there is such an option.
But my biggest fear is the handling/car physics. I hope it will be more like Underground 2 (but in a modern way) instead of such a crap like heat and all the last games of this series.
Agreed, the cartoon garbage has to go. I can't believe after over 2 years in development this is what they came up with. Definitely not the Criterion I remember. Shame.
- @4Northstar Actually this not the same Criterion studio that gave us Hot Pursuit 2010 Most Wanted 2012 and partly Rivals, this criterion studio have never worked on a racing game before. Mayby some of the devs worked for,Ghost Games or the original Criterion or even BB.
@BVBgamer88 how could you know this? Do you know people at Criterion? I'm almost certain developers from Ghost Games went back to Criterion.

Yes its confirmed which is nice. But thats just the minor problem. The real major problem are the driving physics.
In the gameplay trailer it looks like the same crap like in heat with thos senseless drifting in each corner... 😕
- @maxwell2203 Sadly official tweet also confirmed Basic Tail Smoke and Trail Lights can't be disabled.So the childish cartoon effects will stay just like in the leaked 2020 footage with 991-2 GT2 RS.
I'd be ready for a new NFS, but I can't ignore the style they went for. It's unbearable. Let us turn everything off, I don't want "basic tail smoke and trail lights" either. I loved HP 2010 and MW 2012, who infiltrated Criterion to create such a childish cringy game?
Now that they confirmed there won't even be a day/night cycle I wonder what else they can provide to fully keep me out of this installment. There's still some hope left in me, but damn, it's horrible. Please consider a little overhaul and keep the focus on realism, not anime.
I think these new cartoon effects will bring a different atmosphere, a sweet change to the game rather than being childish. Although I think so in the videos. I'm undecided that I'd like to see it play. It was really nice to have the option to turn off these effects. Thanks Criterion. I think this game going to be great.
