Anyone else having a problem with the AI Shimizu? The other AI and myself are consistently a minimum of 700 yards away from him in every race. I’m 2 days away from the grand and I’m concerned that I won’t be able to beat him. I’ve spent all of my money on every car I can think of to try and combat this issue but nothing is working. I’m still getting beaten every single time.

the Rubberband AI in this Game is horrible. You have to be first at start and then maybe win when you make no mistakes. But also with the Regera in Story Mode you can not make a lot of Distance to the other Racers, because the AI seems not to be limited on 395km/h
It’s absolutely ridiculous. The game is almost unplayable with how OP the AI are. Like Shimizu for example. WAY too fast and I’ve NEVER seen him mess up at all. Never seen him miss a turn or checkpoint or hit another car at all. Dude doesn’t even slow down for his turns or drift. He just powers through every single one of them. This game is hot garbage so far. I’m so glad I got it as a Christmas gift. Otherwise I’d be demanding a refund.
I totally feel that, i paid 80 Bucks for this crap and the Multiplayer is so disappointing…
Shimizu is particularly hard to beat in the car reward events on the last 2 nights before the grand. If you can nudge Shimizu during the early stages of the races, it’s much easier to catch up and beat the other racers than it is trying to race him straight up.
In the grand event, he can get knocked out early, and in comparison the grand event is much easier than the third/fri night races leading up. IMO.
Yeah if he gets ahead, he's gone. I found the Grand races pretty random as far as placement of the AI players.

Shimizu can be beat, it took me a while and I bought and built the right cars for me. Everyone has different cars, but I made it with these cars a few weeks ago. As an A car I have the Nissan 370Z Nismo (2015), as an A+ car I have the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX (2007), as an S car I have the Lamborghini Murcelago LP670-4SV (2009) and as an S+ car I have this Porsche 918 Spyder (2015), with this car I made the Grand Finale in just 1 try, and with the Porsche 918 Spyder you can also beat Shimizu in the normal races. But that's just a tip dear game friends.
Yeah the Shimizu's AI needs a tone down for sure, even if you are lucky enough to spin him out in the beginning of a race, he is already behind you again after 10 seconds.
@HIRICINEBLADEsome AI racers do have few maps have godlike faster/speed, but not unbeatable generally.
Even when I crash him or make him tail spin I’ll get to the last 500 yards of the race and he still manages to catch up and beat me at the last second. All while my game mode is set to RELAXED. It’s a load of BS.
