@e_SonOfAnderjust press the start button while you're in the meet. you can do it while driving around too
there is kind of a renewable income source, in that if you get to the end of the week and don't have the requirements (cash, or missing the required car), you get to replay Friday. So you could potentially do all the races Friday day/night, use all that income to upgrade your cars / buy new cars, until you dont meet the requirements, then do it again.
Thank you so much for the note about pressing the start button since it does not show anything on screen I was of the same impression you had to back out of the meat and make your tune and then go back in.
