Time between Linkups.

This increased time between Linkups isn't a welcome change. It is really killing the fun I was having with their introduction.

  • Well I see this is still an issue. Shame, Linkup's are really the only reason I even bother to play this game.

Linkups are the wrong way anyway. This means you'll end up with 75 gamers who can't race cars because they've only leveled up through linkups! In my opinion, linkups should only give money, but not XP.

@JudyRacing Still better than spending hours on end not getting anyone to race or having to deal with the toxic mess that Criterion encouraged by placing vehicles behind achievements for wiping out other players.

I guess we're in the minority in loving linkups. It's the main reason I play the game too.

I come from absolutely adoring burnout paradise's online challenges. I live for coop game modes. If there any any more updates after this, I hope linkups will appear more consistently.

Edit: I would love if there were a countdown until the next linkup event was happening. I often leave and join other lobbies to see if there are any linkups occurring in that session.

  • @enf0o A cooldown timer would be a nice addition, seeing as a lot of challenges lately have been Linkup related, it would be nice to know how long we would have to wait before the next Linkup.

    Absolutely!

There's also a challenge for completing a linkup in each location. Currently I'm 9/14, and I must have already completed... 30, 40 linkups in volume 5 alone, so I'm still missing 5. Giving players a heads-up on which linkup was appearing next, and when, would be very helpful and welcome.

Hell, matchmaking would make my experience so much better!

Not sure if bumping is allowed here, but I have noticed a semi-reliable way to predict when a linkup could be occurring.

Basically, if you find a server where a meetup has an active boost, it's definitely possible that the next boosted event could be a linkup. Even if it isn't, I've found a good amount of success in waiting till it's over, and seeing a linkup appear soon after. Though even if it may not be boosted, a regular linkup is still just as appealing.

Just thought to share my observations over the last couple weeks. If it helps anybody else that enjoys linkups, let us know!

  • @enf0o Nice. I haven't even logged in since hitting 75. Let's hope they saw the idea about adding in a visible cooldown timer so players who enjoy Linkups won't have to constantly guess when the next one will pop.
