I know it's frustrating not being able to play a game you waited for. But thrust me, it is already glitchy and buggy as it is on Current Gen. Lot of textures rendering and popping in problems. Releasing it on Old Gen would only create a new Cyberpunk 2077. That game is unplayable on old gen. It was so messed up it was removed from the PS Store for a while. Hell, have you seen how GTA Online looks on old gen now? They keep updating it but old gen consoles can't follow anymore. Now people who play GTA online on old gen spends more time waiting for the game to load textures and restating the game because it froze than actually play the game.
They won't make NFS on PS4 and Xbox One because they can't. Thrust me when I say this. EA is a money making machine. If there is a way for them to make maximum profits, they will. They knew they would make a lot more money with NFS if they released the game on old gen. But they didn't. If EA of all companies decides to give up on a ton of cash by not releasing the game on old gen, there is a good reason.
Then again, thinking it's just EA doing this is foolish. Plenty other companies are leaving old gen behind as well.
Kylotonn, the one who makes WRC games, decided to not launch Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown on old gen, and future WRC games will likely follow.
Gotham Knights didn't launch on old gen either.
Starfield will be Xbox Series and PC only
Forza Motorsports (2023) is Xbox Series and PC only as well
The Elder Scrolls 6 will also be Xbox Series and PC only
Ratchet and clank : rift apart is PS5 exclusive. Same for the future Spider-man 2 game.
Forspoken will be a PS5 exclusivity for at least 24 months after it's release before being introduced to PC
Alan Wake 2 will be current gen only.
I don't think I have to give more exemples, although they are many more I could give. The whole video game industry is moving on. Not just EA. In a year or two, there won' t be any video game company that will release their games on old gen. That's how it is and you can't do anything about it. Complaining online about it won't make your wishes come true.
The only thing I can suggest you is to forget about it and move on. Thinking about it for too long will only frustrate you more and that's not healthy.
