Controller not working on PC (Xbox series controller)

    Hi @StonedMagicianX to confirm which client (Steam, EA app, Xbox, etc) do you own the game on? 

    Also when you have a moment can we try the following?

    • Check for controller driver updates
    • Try switching from wired to wireless (or vice versa)
    • Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
      • EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
      • EGS - Repair (Library > Tile dots > Manage > Verify)
      • Steam - Verify in your library
    • EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
    • Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
    • Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
    • Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues 
    • Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game

    I tried all that was suggested and no solution. It is as if the game stays in keyboard mode. In the menu I can see the keyboard and controller mode flip back and forth quickly as if some tug of war. Once the game is loaded it stays in keyboard mode. I played this game for two weeks with no problem. The problem showed up when the last patch was released. With no notice or changes, now I am not able to play the game.

    Hello,

    I am having the exact issue as described by @StonedMagicianX. It appears that the assigned key commands once in the main menu are completely different than what's assigned in the controller settings in game. The only way to navigate within the game is to go back on keyboard. I am on PC. I purchased the game through Steam. Both my Steam and EA account are connected. I have origin installed. My PC itself, the controller firmware, Steam, and Origin are completely up to date and signed in with the correct accounts. The controller is the Xbox One PUBG controller. This issue is repeatable either wired or wireless. 

    Please fix this issue soon or I would like a refund. Racing games are not comfortable whatsoever on keyboards to me.
