controls mapped wrong when using ps4 and ps5 controller on pc

i play on pc and when i connect a controller by cord or by Bluetooth the controls are mapped completely wrong and I've tried everything i could find anywhere and tried using steam and ds4windows and still wont work. by mapped wrong i mean gas is literally the touch pad on ps4 and ps5 controller and every button is completely wrong.
