Dedicated GPU Not Used When Launching Need for Speed Unbound

Need for Speed Unbound always runs on the integrated AMD Radeon Graphics instead of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU on my laptop.

I am using a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3-15ACH6 (Type 82K2) with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and NVIDIA Optimus (hybrid graphics), with no MUX switch or “discrete GPU only” mode available.

The game was purchased and launched through the Epic Games Launcher. Even after setting the game to use the high-performance GPU in Windows and NVIDIA Control Panel, it continues to use the integrated GPU. GPU monitoring shows little or no usage on the RTX 3050 Ti while the integrated GPU is active.

Other games on the same system correctly use the RTX 3050 Ti, so the GPU and drivers (NVIDIA driver 591.59) are working properly. This makes the issue appear to be specific to Need for Speed Unbound.

    Same issue here.

AMD CPU laptop with NVIDIA GPU.

Game always launches using integrated GPU and fullscreen does not work.

Disabling the iGPU forces NVIDIA usage but causes severe stuttering.

    Other games work correctly.
