Engine swap bug

I bought the hybrid v8 on the hard top 06 mustang and I can’t change any parts on it. I tried nitrous then suspension. Neither worked, so I tried to put the original engine back in and that wouldn’t switch either. It would read “equipped” in the menu but when I backed out it was the default option.
