@Babyteng1 what kind of internet are you using btw? if you're on fiber broadband it shouldn't lag, especially if you're on cable & not wifi.
Anyway, even after connecting to NA, for some reason it doesn't lag that bad on linkups as opposed to races. And since the free VPN I'm using also offers connecting to Netherlands, I tried that & linkups work there as well (so I'm assuming the EU also don't have this problem). The lag is also a lot more bearable but I'm not too sure if that's just a one time thing. Need to test it out more.
If you're not using any VPN & would like to test it out, look up Proton VPN. Register for free, download the client, login & choose the server you'd like to connect to (preferably ones with the least load). When using VPN though, do take precaution when running/quitting the game by allowing some time before running/after quitting the game before turning on/off the VPN. Switching connection servers like this means the game needs to sync your save file & just rushing to connect/disconnect to/from the VPN servers could potentially desync it & ruin your save.
The EA client would warn if the save is out of sync. If you see that do wait a while before turning the VPN on/off before running/after quitting the game. It's also good to make a backup of your local save frequently, just in case anything bad happens.

@Peakkiwi thanks for the info, I’m playing from PS5, is there a way to do this?

Sorry that this is late, but I'm not sure since I don't play on consoles. I've heard talks about using VPN on consoles though so you may want to look it up. If you could do it, do try to connect to the US/Netherlands via VPN and see if it works.
At any rate, the current Speed Pass should end this upcoming Wednesday and if there's a Vol.5 (hopefully) I'd love to see this fixed.
