Lost / Corrupt Save game clarification ( PC )
I am one of the people that have lost their entire game progress ( 192 hours ) in NFS Unbound.
EA has said that they cannot restore lost or corrupted game save files because they are stored locally on our PC's.
If NFS was a once a year franchise release game, then it would not be as big of a deal, because you would just move on to the next NFS game.
But since Unbound has had so far 8 major game add-ons that build on to the core release, the idea is to build your progress over years of play.
So I don't understand why there is no back up to our game progress built in to Unbound.
With every NFS title I own in my EA app, I can start my chosen NFS game from any one of the 3 PC's I use and my game progress is there to resume.
How is that possible if the game save data is local? The game save MUST be on the servers to access and use.
So why is there no message warning of lost data and the option to use the previously saved data from the last log off?
Why doesn't Unbound save progress to ( 2 ) locations, but accesses only one to start a play session?
If that file is corrupted, then give the option to use the second save file to start up.
This doesn't seem that difficult to me. I would think it to be a requirement for any ongoing game that has a long play expectancy.
