Need for speed unbound shuts down immediately on launch

I have bought Need for Speed: Unbound through the EA app, but I have yet to be allowed to play the game.

As I open the game a window opens. It is a black sceen in a smaller window. The title of the game and the game symbol is visible at the top of the window. The text vanishes after a second, while the symbol remains visible. Then the window goes fullscreen and is still black, but everything completely vanishes again after a few more seconds. No error messages, no sounds, no nothing, the game is simply just not open anymore. Checked the services tab and job list, nothing suggests the game is running. 

I have tried to repair the files, reinstall both the game and the EA app, running both the game and the EA app as admin, updated drivers, updated windows, specifically set the game to run on my GPU, I tried refreshing the cache for the EA app, I tried removing the cache files from NFS Unbound (as stated on other similar posts), I have also tried to launch the game on a clean boot and I have tried running the system file checker tool. I have a rather new and powerful PC so I was not expecting these issues. It should also be mentioned, that I have not had these issues with ANY other games than this one and NFS Heat which crashes randomly during a session. I can play NFS Hot Pursuit remastered just fine, same goes for games like World of Warcraft, God of War and Call of Duty. I feel like I have tried everything at this point, please help.
