Hi @livinwithaliens7 @eiseeu To check did you notice any changes after the Vol 3 update?
Also just to confirm, have you tried the steps mentioned here...
- Open your NAT Type:
- Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)
- livinwithaliens72 years agoRising Scout@EA_Illium I didn't mess with the NAT settings, however, I did contact my internet provider and had them open port on my router. I did mess around with the DND settings and tried the public Google domain but that did nothing.I still get the Failed to Create Lobby error code:FTCL5001 but I'm at least able to get online and connected t0 a server. The problem I'm now facing is when say I'm finished with an online race and I head back to any garage, once I press square to enter garage, it automatically kicks me out of the server and offline to the main menu/dashboard.

I went on yt looking for the same error code (ftcl5001) and someone had a different code but same problem (failed to creat lobby). They couldn't connect to online and they started deleting cars one by one and restarting the game. Turns out one of his cars was bugged and once he sold it, he was able to connect to online no problem.

Still getting error codes: FTCL5001, FTJR2008 and 40010000. Attached is screenshots of error codes.Once I click go online, it loads to online garage then immediately kicks me back to homescreen and offline.

How often when did the problem start: The error code FTCL5001 has been happening since the Vol.2 update(normally I can bypass the error code FTCL5001 and still get into a server however I get kicked back offline to homescreen once I re enter a safehouse from free roam). The error codes FTJR2008 and 4001000 has been happening since this past Tuesday Sept.19.
I have tried the following:
-Rebuild database and clear cache
-Uninstalled and reinstalled game
-Reset router(hardwired connection)Good download and upload speeds
-Synced and unsynced save data
-Deleted save data from console and downloaded cloud data
-Reset console, hard reset and unplugged and replugged wires in back of console
-Took console apart and cleaned thoroughly(Console was spotless)
-Console and game both have the latest updates
-Started a new game without the save data and was able to get online and no error codes, however once I download my save data that has my 100% progress and completion, the error codes start back again and I am once again unable to get online
-Reached out to EA forums and social media groups for help.I am certainly not the only one that's experiencing this.
-Changed DNS in console internet connection settings to see if it would help but was unsuccessful
-Replaced hdmi cord and ethernet cable with new ones
- Toggled with HDCP settings
Please feel free to access my account in case you need to dig in to find a solution.Thank you for your help and I can't wait to get back to playing the game I love!.
- 2 years agoSpoilerI tried the dns suggestions but it didn't work. I contacted ea and they said it was a known problem and they're was a dedicated team working on it.....lol
No fix yet- 2 years ago
@Str8Beastin621 if your a a PlayStation player, try @JudyRacing method to fix the issue, idk if it works since I'm Xbox but another way you could fix it is by selling cars as supposedly the issue is caused by a bugged car, but again idk if it's the cause
- livinwithaliens72 years agoRising Scout@EA_Illium Update, so I did check the NAT type and it's Type 2 and the connection method is LAN cable

@livinwithaliens7 Can we try the link in my previous post to open your NAT type up, then restart the game and check if the error continues?- livinwithaliens72 years agoRising Scout
@EA_IlliumOk, sooo....I did as you asked and tried the previous link, opened NAT type, restarted the game and it still does it.The error code FTCL5001 still comes up once the garage loads up online. It is hit or miss when trying to get into a server, but if im able to get into server, if I drive back to any garage on the map and press square to enter, it will usually 7 out of 10 times kick me offline and back to main menu.

I’ve read or at least tried to find anything useful regarding the Error code FTCL5001.
Short story there just isn’t any acceptable solution.in no way is it acceptable to have all the time put in lost because resetting everything appears to be the only way to make the game playable again but that’s also a maybe.
Again this didn’t acceptable. After spending money on expansions to add something more to the game you can’t even use what you’ve paid for.
for the issue at hand and several others.

Are you getting an error message? Yes / FTCL5001
Date this issue started (is it still happening?)? First at the release date of Vol.3 and now from Aug 23, 2023 constantly making online impossible no matter what.
Is anything else happening? Yes, besides everything mentioned here on the forum “RE: Error code FTCL5001, as a result of error code or by happenstance, each time after this lovely error code I get all of the cars from the expansions again and again (yay free cars) … at one stage my garage had 180 cars, 90% only cars from the expansions repeated and repeated (boo 3 was cool, 15 is annoying as god damn hell especially when you can’t sort you cars .. deep breaths). Most recently, I lost all my purchased cars, only leaving the exclusive or expansion cars this also had the safe affect on my campaign but this also included all of the won cars (was super happy …) and finally, even if you manage to get into your online garage and don’t even attempt to find a game and would only like to tweak or buy anything well that would be a no, the purchase of a vechile will just say “purchase failed” and if you try to by and engine part it goes through to only rest the cash and part to what was prior the purchase and I’ve lost a huge amount of money from leaving a link up just got that blue evading bar get to the garage, enter the garage and then welcome to the game start screen, all that money? Gone, XP? While the bar for the progression does its little animated loading sequence that too is for nothing.
Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue: I have attempted various NAT address, contacted the ISP, reset the playstion, used only local save, then only online then both, then on expandable then back to local, used wired and wireless connection, reinstalled the game 3 times and even tried on a friends playstion on a different continent…
If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip... the clip is too large to attach but would happy email it to a provided email address…
If on PC, please share a DxDiag (Allows us to get PC Spec's, Check for errors/crashes, and look at drivers) No.
could you please assist?!

@shaneo914 bruh that has to the the worse extent of the bug I've heard off, that sucks, anyways there isn't anything really you can do except sell cars and delete wraps, both on single and multiplayer due to them being linked, the issue doesn't come from our end, nor the Devs but the server itself, EA need to talk to the guys that run their servers for Unbound to see if the issue can be fixed

Dear EA team, today I wanted to play online again, and then these two messages came up and I can no longer play online at all. And once again, cars doubled and tripled in the story, even though I had already sold them all! I paid a bunch of money and bought all the packs, so I want to play online again. Fix your game as soon as possible.
- livinwithaliens72 years agoRising Scout
@shaneo914Yeah it's like Doryzzkendy said, we've been in contact with EA advisors and throughout everything that's been tried, the only thing that works at this time is selling cars both story mode and online mode and also deleting wraps seems to be the only way to get online to a server.Even then, you'll probably still get the error code FTCL5001 but then you can just bypass it and get online.Once you're online and say you head back to re enter a safehouse, half the time you get kicked back offline to the homescreen. Its just a constant cycle of deleting rides and wraps and trying to connect back online.

PS5 Issue Resolved
Below are the steps I used to fix the game. Hopefully this works for others.
1) Turn off Auto Sync Saved Data for NFS Unbound.
2) Delete all cars except 1 in both campaign and online. - I chose an old car I had for both - Not an unlocked or DLC.
3) Change character pose and banner audio in both campaign and online -I chose a standard setting for both, not an unlocked or DLC.
4) Exit game and restart console.
5) Download saved game data from cloud storage.
6) Restart game.
7) No errors and everything worked - No lost cars, wraps, or tunes.
8) Exit game and turn Auto Sync back on
Hope to see everyone experiencing this issue back on the streets soon!
Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on a resolve as well!
I believe the root cause is in the new DLC content.
