5 in a playlist and 6 in a linkup means only 5 players are available for races. This may seem minor but someone hoping to start a playlist will be misled and puzzled as to why no one is accepting their invite, when in reality there are only 5 people available for races.
If you have completed the PVP playlist, you go to the PVP menu. However, I see 2 flaws.
1. On 21:9 widescreen monitors, the loading screen does not completely cover the screen area
2. There was no such download before, now you have to wait a long time - 10 seconds or more for the PVP lobby menu to load. This is very bad
