NFS Unbound closing/crashing on Launch

I bought NFS Unbound and played previously; it was good but after recent update, the game is not launching and closing/crashing immediately after launching. Tried everything like repair and deleting shader files updating Directx and deleting DirectX cache. Nothing works!!!! I have attached my DxDiag file. Just an FYI it was working before

  • Hi @HumyAhmad, It's possible I believe that is an anti-virus. Can you add the EA App and NFS to an exception list?

  • Thanks for the help, but I tried everything, like running the game as an administrator, checking for updates, and the CPU and GPU are cranked to max, but the game is still closing on launch.

    Hi @HumyAhmad

To confirm did window find any issues after using the SFC tool?

If not, can we try launching your device in a Clean Boot and check if you have any luck?

  • Still no luck, I want to know if Sentinel One Agent might be causing some issues with the game execution?

When i looked at the advanced crash log for the game itself the .wer file It found a sentinelone module was loaded with the game. I temporarily disabled sentinelone and the game launched. So, I created a folder exclusion in the SentinelOne dashboard for the game and it launched with the agent enabled. Check your AV agents if your game is hard crashing during launch. It could be blocking the binary/executable for the game and anti-cheat modules.

Double check if you have any AntiVirus programs running and if you do, add a folder exclusion for the steamapps directory which is where steam downloads game files to.
