5th October 2023 and this issue still exists. I'm seriously concerned they're not going to fix it. I'll be deleting the game if so. Breakdown of my details:
Product: Need for Speed: Unbound
Platform:PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug Wrap changes won't save properly and get removed shortly after. "Error code 9" appears when this happens. The game is "unable to save the file and will not store it".
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The bug started randomly a few days ago and stops me from save wrap edits on every car.
What happens when the bug occurs? Error code: 9 appears on my screen, the wrap edit appears to have saved despite the error code, shortly after that the wrap gets removed automatically. This only happens with changes after the error started, all changes made before the error started are still there.
What do you expect to see? I would expect the wrap edits to save properly and remain equipped for as long as I want them to be.
@calum057I had the error code 9 months ago, If I remember correctly it was a synchronization error.I think I deleted the wrap and the car that was having the issue then made sure my data was saved to cloud(make sure you're not resaving the bugged wrap and car back to the cloud),,then make sure auto sync.is turned off. Then delete console save data, start new game..then close out new game and go back to PS5 main home screen and click the options on the NFS Unbound logo and select download save data from cloud and it will override your new game , Then open your game and all.of your stuff should be back on there...except for the bugged car you sold and the delered wrap of course. You can turn auto save back on at this point if you want to...it's up to you
- 2 years ago@livinwithaliens7 Interesting... thanks for the info. I might give that a go tonight.
- livinwithaliens72 years agoRising Scout@calum057 Yeah give it a try...if it doesn't work after several attempts then maybe wait to see if the season 5 update fixes it before you decide deleting your save all together and restarting a new game from scratch. Also as JudyRacing mentioned, keep your cars under 75 total and just a few wraps...Really hoping this new update fixes things because nothings more frustrating than not being able to get online to race.Keep us posted!!
- livinwithaliens72 years agoRising Scout@calum057 Just went back and read your comment to JudyRacing, if you only have 20 cars and just a few wraps, it definitely sounds like you've got a bugged car or wrap..start eliminating each car and wrap one by one until you find the culprit and hopefully that fixes the problem.

So you two, I have 75 cars and 56 wraps, and tonight I bought a 76 car just for fun, just bought it, no tuning and no wraps, and bang, when I quit the game the automatic synchronization stopped working. and I had to load the cloud storage from today's lunchtime back into the console storage, and this cloud storage had 75 cars. Ok, turned on the game, played it and finished it, and bang, the automatic synchronization worked again. I don't understand this, my party friend has 116 cars and everything works as usual for him. and we both on PS5, why are there differences?
