NFS Unbound PC (Steam) Unable to Connect

Question

I tried launching the game just now only to be met with the following messages

Attention
You need to be signed in to your EA Account to access the online features of this game. Please check your internet connection.
See ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information.

And then after I dismiss that message, this message is already up behind it

No Connection
You need to be signed in to your EA Account to access the online features of this game. Please check your internet connection.

I have a stable wired internet connection to my PC.
I looked over everything in the connectivity guide, and the servers appear to be up, Steam is having no issues, everything appears to be fine from servers.

I did recently change the name of my EA Account, but I did that a while ago, and I was able to play the game once after the name change.

I also have the game for my Xbox Series X, and I am getting the exact same messages on that as well.

Can someone help me figure out what's going on?

similar issue man. the game is sitting there on the dust for like 3 days. i am unable to open literally

this is just odd.i tried some things like for example reset my dns connectivity from ipconfig and netsh all other game works fine,but only this game is getting the issue. i also tried to delete the SaveGame file as someone suggested with similar issue. but i still got no luck.now my savegame is gone. and it doesn't even go online.why is it causing this?

platform: steam.

update: very recently i have tried some things before posting the same thing here and no luck. i tried to verify my file integrity from steam. it says everything looks fine. so no luck.

I also validated it wasn't my DNS setup, tried CloudFlare, Google, and then my ISP's DNS, same result.

Verified game files on Steam, still nothing.

I even went as far as uninstalling the game and the EA App and reinstalling which still did nothing.

Update: I moved my save file to a new location, and started the game and it let me connect, but now I have to start from scratch 😭
