Nfs Unbound rim customization bug

I’ve only recently started playing (about a month or so) but as of two days ago I tried to modify my Porsche 959’s rims because it changed itself back to the stock set, but it showed the rotiform rim I was using as locked. When I went to try an unlocked rim it gave me a “could not buy” type message and hasn’t worked since. 

I haven’t found anyone else with this exact problem but I’ve heard the game is a buggy mess so at this point I think I may just uninstall and play forza or something. If half of the content I paid to use is locked I don’t see any reason to keep playing. 

If anyone has had this problem please reach out and share any possible fixes, this is my first nfs game but it might be my last. This issue really turned me off since my whole reason for downloading was to customize my vehicles.
