Summarize your bug when entering the race, the car is fast, but the speed goes down up to 80-90, stuck on 3rd gear, if you press the accelerate key again the engine go up for less then a sec and then back down.. can't drift or do anything cause you too slow.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? enter the game, selected story, selected the Nissan car, happen also in multiplayer
What happens when the bug occurs? when i try to drive the car and press W key
What do you expect to see? car accelerate?! it's a "racing" game.. not golf cart game which golf cart is actually faster

@EA_Atici can speak for myself only keyboard and mouse connected to the PC not even a external hard disk.

@Selamkardessssss Thank you. Do you happen to have any installed sofware that might virtualize an input?

If you restart with a Clean Boot, does that change anything about this happening?

like i said i don't use any controller, only the laptop keyboard,

it also work fine on speed from 0-80 as you can see when i use the nitro boost, but then after the speed won't increase more then 80

at the start i press brake to get down to 50, and then accelerate again, it's ok, but when the car reach 80 again it stop accelerating

I am seeing a very similar issue. When in middle of high speed (race or speed challenge, etc..).  The acceleration key simply ceases to function. Spamming it has no effect, have to brake and slow vehicle or stop it. Then is starts working again.  One time this happened three times during a single race, usually only happens once.

Only controller's connected are mouse and keyboard.  PC version Ryzen 7, Radeon 5700 XT.  

Add to this that cloud storage saves before the start of race just after taking funds, so you keep having to re-pay entry fee's for the same race.  The two issues combined are making it impossible to have an A car for the first Saturday race, and there is no option to restart game from beginning.   Basically, am on day 4, still in starter car, no upgrades, and have 0 funds, so can't even enter most of the races on this day.

It would have been helpful if the restart race key had -not- been removed from game.  That new restart only at end of race (and limit it) metric has also compounded the problem.  So there is no workaround in game anymore for odd issues that easily go past the 10 retries.

So basically, cannot restart game from beginning, and cannot continue.

I have played every NFS from world to this one.    I have to say this NFS has been the most disappointing and un-fun version I have seen. 

I cannot ask of a refund from Steam because of the time I have put in already, but frankly, the game isn't playable or enjoyable currently.  But I would have if I had not exceeded the time limit for that.

Uinstalling origin also does not work btw.

I have a Lenovo Legion 7 with Ryzen 9 and RX 6850m XT and i have the problem, maybe it has to do with ryzen processors?

No, i got i5 12600KF and same problem

So, painful tries continues today... Still got the brake stuck, car getting barely 3rd gear, no brakes actually works when pressed the key. All I have seen from this game so far are the first conversation between character and Jaz about how needy she is to drive the car after all summer working on it... Oh, God the irony!!!

So, I have tried removing all external peripherals (in my case USB driver and mouse Logitec adapter), updating Windows, (have tried both Windows 11 and Windows 10 updated to the latest versions), updating Lenovo Vantage software and enabling & disabling all of its functions, going through every single AMD settings in the Adrenaline app (currently everything set to off), enabling and disabling Bluetooth, re-installing EA app & turning off in-game overlay, going in Windows Privacy and disabling all processes there just in case some app I don't use is messing with the game controls- still nothing!!! Then I went into Windows Ease of Access and tried almost various options with the keyboard still this damn bug persists.

Updated manually DirectX, C++, and all available libraries- still nothing.

Now I am not IT expert and I am running out of options!

If any of you guys did something else that helped, PLEASE post it and share it with us.
I guess I am not the only one  who payed 80 Euro for an unplayable game!!!!

I've got the same exact issue. Acceleration and break are on at the same time, I can't go pass 3rd gear and the car can't stop or reverse. I have nothing connected to the laptop. I tried everything as well. Nothing works. I also tried to connect different controllers and the game doesn't recognize them either. I have a Lenovo Legion 7i with the Core i9 12900HX and the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti. At this point I'm considering asking for a refund! I wanted to play this game so bad.....

and drivers of my 3070ti to latest

Are you going to give us (the people who bought the game and still a week later can't play it) the/ some/ any/ solutions to fix the buggy game?

Good thing I've spent 4 bucks to get a 10 hrs trial of the game.  Definitely not buying the game until it's fixed.
