@Akikd2Hey, your the first one with an 10XX Card having that error in our thread as far as I have seen.

At least for my system the power supply is not the cause of the error. I recently updated to a 1000W BeQuiet Titanium and the 1080 works, but the 4080 does not.

Today I did some tests and gave the 4080 more power. Test 1 10% more, Test 2 20% more. Test 3 20% more & downclock -200mhz.

4080 crashed in all 3 Tests after <5 Min.

The faster you drive the car, the faster you get the crash. Boost is nearly insta crash.

May I ask your Board and your processor?

It is unlikely our graphic cards are defect. Too many people with the same error. Would be a surprise if all those GPUs were trash. Lots of people having brand new 40XX cards. But we will find out tomorrow or wednesday. I get another 4080 for testing purpose.

I simply cannot beleive we have heard nothing from EA on this. I have this really uneasy feeling it could be an NVIDIA driver issue! Anybody want to try going back to the last one! I would but my MSFS 2020 is running so good now, I really do not want to upset it lol

I did reroll to older Drivers and still get crashes. Also I am able to use the new drivers with my gtx 1080 and it works perfectly.

So here is the error on AMD GPUs, we can't play more than 20/30 min than the errors shows

Did some more tests with my current RTX4080 ASUS TUF. One of the guys in that thread tried to reduce the resolution.

POSSIBLE WORKAROUND: CAN CONFIRM WORKING CONDITION WITH RESOLUTION <3440x1440.

Played for more than one hour with 2560x1440 without any DX HUNG error. Other people with non widescreen resolution. Can you please try if reducing the resolution also removes the DX Hung error for you?

@EA_David Could you please forward this to Devs? Players with DXGI Hung Error and Ultra Wide Screen Resolution can downgrade their resolution to play as a workaround.

Of course this is NOT a fix for the problem. But it might help Devs to figure out whats the cause. Would really appreciate your help! ❤️

Yes, if instead of 3440x1440, do 2560x1440, then there are no crashes. Checked in two games NFS, battlefield 2042. Both games played for 30 minutes. Previously crashes in NFS = 3-8 minutes. In battlefield = 2-5 minutes at 3440x1440.

Maybe they respond better there? I saw your posts there too. Maybe you should create a topic there as well and mark a temporary solution to the problem.

I haven't any crashes since i did all tips and trouble shootings and uninstalling reinstalling of gpu and cpu drivers and i've also added in the need for speed cpu load at 90% fix from github here the link

somehow the game runs great after everything by the way try to disable any overclocking on cpu or gpu

Some good news and some bad news today.

The other RTX4080 arrived. 

Bad news: Crashes still there with the other RTX4080. Card suddenly peaks to 100% GPU Usage out of the nowhere and crashes. Crashes come not that frequently as with the ASUS card but still less then 20 minutes.

Good news: Your graphic cards are not broken. 😀

EA and / or NVIDIA need to fix it.

Another day, still no response!

I had that too after I undervolted my card too much.

If EA / Nvidia do not fix the error this week I will try switching Mainboard, RAM and Processor. If that also fails I probably will skip Frostbite Games alltogether in the future.

Remember, less then 1% of Players probably have that error. Steam Reviews are very positive. If lots of players have this, it would be much more negative.

I still guess it is a problem between our System components, Driver and Frostbite Engine.

Hey everyone, I'm also having this bug since i installed it before the global release. tried all sorts of drivers, deleting files, setting steam launch options but nothing works. for me there doesn't seem to be a trigger like some ppl said about nitro or high speed, it just happens randomly after 30-60 mins in races, free roam and even tuning menus a few times. the best thing I found to work was installing the nvidia studio driver from nov 16, that allowed me to play in 2h intervals but eventually it still crashed. gonna try the controller firmware update too, but tbh after reading all the PC acting weird stories Im kind of afraid to push it further to not blow out my GPU or something

This isnt all it is though, its great you found one of the many combinations being affected by this issue that have already been addressed here a few times in this thread so not necessarily new, but there's plenty of people playing on regular 16:9 resolution still having the issue, this problem has nothing to do with resolution, so lets stop acting like thats the fix and try to focus on getting EA to give us some sort of resolution

I installed the game on my PC yesterday, updated the NVidia driver to the newest version, and started the game without any difficulties. Then I turned it off, did some other stuff, and played again, so basically, I started the game twice without any issues. But when I tried to start the game today, it showed me only a black screen and after I pressed the windows button I noticed that there is another window of NFS and that was an error message.

It stated "DirectX Error; DirectX function "dxDevice->CreateHeap(&desc, FB_IID_PPV_ARGS(&heap))" failed with E_INVALIDARG ("An invalid parameter was passed to the returning function."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti", Driver: 52737"

I will add a picture in the attachment. 

I tried to reinstall the NVidia driver, restarted the computer, I have the latest windows update (so DirectX should be up to date) but nothing worked and it still shows the same error. And I don't understand how is it possible that it worked completely fine yesterday and it doesn't work now.

Can you please help me solve this issue?
