Re: NFS Unbound Controller issues

Hello, I have the same problem and the controls in Steam have not been modified, the "steam input" has been deactivated and activated, the files were verified and the game was reinstalled but always when I run the game the game instead of detecting the 18 control buttons apparently detects less so that it confuses the (Y,X,B,
A)  with other buttons etc (I tried it with ps4 controler and xboxone controler) . and it is not a problem that occurs in "NFS Heat"

Having an issue with the steam version of NFS Unbound where the controller mapping is not correct. I have looked everywhere for solutions and I have also tried playing the game with the controller plugged in via wire to my PC and it still does not want to function properly. Does anyone have a legit fix for this?

yes, I have tried disabling and reenabling just about everything I can that is related to the Xbox controller settings with the Steam-suggested profiles downloaded. I have also tried downloading other profiles for the controller settings and those do not help the situation. The Xbox controller was working perfectly for me 4 days ago which was the last time that I played. I'm not sure if EA has published any updates that break only Unbound as NFS Heat and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor work just fine. I have also now run into a new issue where NFS Unbound just does not launch anymore, I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it about 4-5 times in the past 17 hours and I have also tried installing the game on an HDD as compared to an SSD and this fixes nothing. I have tried adding the folder to my virus protection exclusions, doesn't work either. I have just entirely uninstalled the game and purely given up on trying to fix this issue as this is giving me too many issues and I'm not going to spend my time trying to fix these issues that shouldn't be happening in the first place considering I haven't touched the game in 4 days.

i have this problem but i have the game on EA may you explain why cause in this state the game is unplayable with controller and steering wheel

Updating this thread, the team has released Vol 8 with various fixes. You can read the patch notes here. 

I wanted to check if issues with controller mapping are still happening after grabbing the update?

Even after this most recent update, this issue still exists and is still plaguing Xbox controller x Steam users. Are there any plans to address this fix?

The problem is still exist. Unfortunately, it still doesn't unplayable game with Xbox Series controller.
