@JollebimMLGthere is an update scheduled for Monday. I hope they fixed it.
After the update, it first worked for 15 minutes and I really thought I could finally play it online.... but NO, this issue is still present. Did it the last 2 races, so gonna need to wait for an other patch...
- @MyraGe-Qc This update made it somehow even worse for me. It happened 2 minutes after I loaded into the game while still in free roam. I didn't even reach a race yet, and then later while in a race it happened twice. After that, I just pressed Alt + F4. This is really frustrating.
Just tested out the game since the new update and for me its working fine now. Controller is not ignoring inputs so i can finally play. But for all the players that are still having issues maybe you could try this fix that i found when looking for some answers for why Elden Ring was always stuttering all the time and this was to Disable Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator now i know this sounds mad but i looked it up and that can cause issues with gameplay on many games and since i disabled it NFS and other games that had any kinda issues were all solved. How to fix is below
On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time to invoke the Run command. Type devmgmt.msc and click OK.
Double-click Software devices to open the category.
Right-click Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator and click Disable device.
and thats it. Give it a try and message back the results see if it works.
I just tested the game on the newest update and unfortunately the bug persists The frequency feels slightly lower but it still occurs at extremely frustrating moments. I also updated my controller firmware earlier last week, which had no effect either. Tomorrow I will test out the walkaround posted by Ghastous, I hope it works.
- @Dionic20 Yeah, same. I mean this also happen when I'm in the garage tuning my cars or on home menu. Few others said it freeze 2 seconds, but in my case, it can be 10 to 15 seconds too. Online playlists have 3 races, so impossible to have a working controller for 3 on 3, when offline I finish one only 50% of the time with probably a restart as soon it happen...
@Ghastous Tried the game again after the recent update and was disappointed to see the bug persists. HOWEVER, I disabled the Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator as you suggested, and it seems to be working normally, at least for now. Finally got a 1st place and made some money!
Truly bizarre glitch and fix, but thanks heaps, mate. hopefully I can now enjoy the game again.
@Ghastous Sorry, looks like I spoke too soon.
I got maybe an hour of playtime until I noticed the bug again, with the same results. How annoying.
I have now tried the walkaround by @Ghastous and unfortunately, i can confirm that it did not fix the issue. It did feel less frequent but it did still happen and has made me drive straight into a truck.
really annoying
- @toomanymeat thats a real shame that. Well lets hope EA can fix this issue but i think it might take awhile lol
