xbox gamer tag is ItBeCookieTime
Pc EA ID is 0860cd3ffe34125e
Not sure if it’s needed but the PC players gamer tag on the Xbox app is DieOrLiveFor2
EA_IlliumWill there be a solution for it after it’s evaluated? Or should we expect to not be able to play?

I wanted to verify something that may be causing an issue.
To confirm does your friend launch NFS Unbound via the cloud option on the Xbox PC client, or do they launch it locally using the EA app? (EA games on gamepass use the EA app client as well)
Also to check, you both friend via the Xbox accounts (xbox's system) and via your EA accounts?

PC is launching via EA app, we are friends on Xbox’s system but we were unable to add each other through NFS crossplay EA functions.

Can you friend try searching for your EA ID (on the EA account you have linked to Xbox) in their EA App?
If you don't appear you may both want to check your privacy settings https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/privacy/index to see if either are blocked or if you have settings enabled to would be hiding you from being discovered. (you might want to also check the Xbox account and console settings)
If they can see you try having him add you as a friend, the seeing if you appear in-game.
