Story mode bug
After restarting storymode, I am at the point where I need to purchase my starter vehicle however, it only gives the option to “buy custom” and not stock.

i'm stuck here too !!! , i've try 3 different time to restart a new game , my 3rd time was offline, it didn't change a thing ... i've re download the game too , nothing has changed, i'm trying it a last time, i'm redownloading the game without any dlc, ...
do you have ultimate edition too ? , i'm searching what can be the issues and looking for a solution too ...

I’m not sure about reinstalling without the dlcs and I really don’t fancy deleting my data to start again as I’ll lose my online progress too. I hope they find a fix.
after 4th try, i figure out a way to get throught the glitch , erase all data from ps5 (or xbox or pc) including save game, re download the game with NO DLC NOTHING, just the base game, once the games is fully installed, disconect from internet, and dont connect to internet until you reached the glitch (rydell ride, where you have to buy your first car) , having done this with a clean save no dlc installed and disconnected from internet, i've reach the point where the cars list was glitched, this time the cars appears as it is suposed to , so the problem seem to be linked to dlc ? and maybe internet ? (can't tell) but i hope this help anyone who end up in this glitch...
Is there a way to do this without deleting my save? I played online before I started my story mode playthrough and I don't wanna risk losing my save
I just tried it, unfortunately you will have to start again with online. I’m choosing to wait until ea manages to fix it in the next patch. I’m just leaving storymode alone until then which sucks cos I really want to unlock all the storymode cars.

Still no updates or work around found that lets you keep your current saved data including online progress. Only work around so far involves deleting all saved data and reinstalling just the base game with no dlcs and restarting the game then downloading dlcs after you manage to purchase first vehicle… Hopefully EA can see this and sort the issue ASAP
- It's already been acknowledged in a different thread by someone from EA, just gotta wait a bit now for the fix
