Unbound won't launch after vol.7 - PC/EA app

Hello, After the update, I started the game and was getting oddly long loading times as well as often frame drops to 10-15 fps. I closed the game and tried to launch it. The ea app opens a dialogue...

@EA_Illium I have just reinstalled windows on my PC, reinstalled EA app and game, still not working. below is the event viewer logs -

Hey Everyone,

Updating this thread, the team has released Vol 8 with various fixes. You can read the patch notes here.

I wanted to check if anyone has noticed any issues with NFS unbound after grabbing the latest update.

  My game won't start after vol. 8 update. Either it doesn't launch at all or crashes, right after black game windows appears, with directx error (see the attatched screenshot)
  I own a steam version of unbound.
  What i have done so far:
  - updated and reinstalled GPU drivers
  - checked integrity of game files
  - reinstalled the game

    Based on your error, can we also try the following and check if it continues to pop up when playing Unbound?
    
    Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
    
    Default your PC to the dedicated Graphics card: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
    
    If there’s an option available, try capping your frame rate. You can also enable Vertical Sync (V-Sync), to match your frame rate to your display’s refresh rate.
    
    Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
    
    Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
    
    Perform a clean boot of your PC to disable background tasks that may be interfering with your game.
