AI not responding properly

Hello. 

I have mentioned previously that low ovr cards feels better in game then higher ovr. Everyone in community already knows that, thats why many are using base cards still. 

But i found why it is like that and it needs fix. 

Problem is in AI not responding properly. In both ways. AI players and goalie against low ovr players are basically not doing anything, you can easily enter zone, deke around them and score with simple shot from any point. 

Again high ovr players they are super aggressive and goalie makes impossible saves, they react super fast. 

To understand this, you need to play just one game with 2 high ovr lines and 2 low ovr lines, best on rookie lvl, there you can really feel the difference. 

If it's not made intentionally like this by EA, then fix is needed and would be nice to get update on this.

The same for online play as you can control only 1 player at time and rest is AI controlled, especially its frustrating when goalie goes unresponsive against low ovr opponent players. 

For online, it needs immediate action! 

I have enough of loosing to newcomers in rivals. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Hi there, @Ogkane26 

    Can you get me some video of the issues you're seeing? Base items should not be outperforming higher rated players. However, teams with lower rated players can still win when there is a difference in skill between between you and your opponent.

    Seeing it will not be the same as feeling it yourself. 

    As i told, play one game, Squad battles on rookie lvl with 2 lines high ovr players and 2 lines low ovr players, then you will see and most importantly feel the difference.

    I know about different skill level players, but better skill can't make my defense and goalie go almost unresponsive when facing low lvl player used by that skilled user.

    If you don't play HUT, yourself, ask to play it someone else with lines and difficulty as i said. 

    Someone, who you will believe that there is such problem.

    About outperforming. I believe it's not the cards themselves, the problem is in AI, how they react to low levels cards. And with low lvl, i mean low gold,  low lvl xfactor, low fantasy cards.

    For example.

    Last game i played 87ovr team on SB, rookie lvl.

    82 fantasy Kappo Kakko, 2 shots,2 goals.

    74 fantasy Cale McCallum  2 shots 1 goal

    84 Xfactor Zegras 5 *, 2 goals

    Toty McDavid 9 shots 0 goals

    Toty Mackinnon 11 shots 1 goal, lost goal with toty players on ice .

    I play more HUT than I should. I'm not having any problem winning Squad Battles games on Superstar with an 89 OVR team. This would be a lot more challenging with a lower rated team. However, if you find more success with base cards, you're more than welcome to use them.

    Ok, you didn't understand what i meant whith all this. Not like i had big hope in this to be fixed. 

    Probably we all are playing too much...

    Maybe other very common problem can be fixed. I believe you will not need video for that. 

    When your player misses the puck on shot, and if you are first to loose puck, even if with different player, first thing he does is shoot and no way to cancel the shot as i know. 

    Sometimes it leads to loosing momentum and even allowing opponents to go on breakaway.

    Can that be fixed?

    Not being able to cancel a shot in those instances definitely annoys me. I really hope that can be improved. I'll pass on the feedback.

    This is why video would really help. If I'm not understanding you well enough, that may explain it. The bottom line is though that lower rated players are only going to outperform higher rated ones when there's a difference in skill between the humans at the controls. This includes knowing which strategies to use so your AI are in better position to counter what your opponent is doing. However, I also play a very aggressive style of defending. I like to be proactive and play manual defense instead of collapsing to the slot and letting the AI play it for me. I don't want to give them time to set up and generate good scoring chances. I'll pressure them and cause a turnover or force them to make a move instead of wait for the perfect opportunity.

    Believe me, i understand why you want a video. 

    But there are things you can only feel and not see them.

    Like there is rare glitch(happened 2 times to me) where opponent goes for breakaway, i catch up to him at the net and try to hit him, but some invisible force/bubble is holding my player from doing that. In video you will only see that im skating next to him and not doing anything...you need to feel it yourself.

    Thanks for these details. I'll keep them in mind in my own games to see if the same feeling happens.
