"Q: Are there any changes or improvements planned for post-launch as a live service update?
Clement Kwong: Aside from cross platform matchmaking coming in November we don’t have major feature updates coming your way. We will be fully focused on delivering on NHL 24"
- Jammalammalam3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@RatedxPGxEnigma Unfortunately, this game is just a fire and forget cash cow. They want $60-$100+ for base game plus special editions (which are more or less HUT grabs and playing the game early).
I absolutely can't understand how they justify continuing to price gouge whatever is left of the faithful of this series only to release and say, "We're focusing on the next game." It's gross, but we fans are our worst enemy by continuing to buy this trash at launch every.. single.. year.
Seriously, what am I missing by waiting 5 months for this to be an EAA/Gamepass drop? After this years' STILL buggy debacle, I can wait.- EA_Aljo3 years ago

Do you mean EA Play? NHL 23 was released on it a few weeks back.
- Jammalammalam3 years agoSeasoned Veteran@EA_Aljo Oops! They changed the name while ago, yeah? If you have Gamepass ultimate it comes with EA Play automatically, but it'll show up in your Gamepass list as a new offering.

It really sucks I paid full price CDN for this since pre-ordering was pointless. I bought it after the presentation was being raved about via social media and gave in. Felt trolled as some of the top players said it was going to be a good game. The content got stale after December and gameplay has been horrendous in most aspects. Even offline I'm seeing issues with AI self-sauce along ragging the puck back into their zone. Mechanics in this product are so broken I can abuse them in so many ways now. Pretty much gave up on caring and this series is a dead end street. NHL 24 isn't gonna be any different along future games more likely so I officially don't support any of it. Tape To Tape is growing so fast for a small team and they are listening to their customers at least.

AI players retreating with the puck is annoying, but they aren't ragging. You're taking away their passing lanes and since they don't really force passes, they'll retreat and try to find an open lane.
