Cannot slap shot only wrist shot

Have you tried another controller? Also, what scheme are you using? Skill stick, Hybrid or NHL 94 controls?

There is nothing wrong with my controller. I have to play the game on hybrid settings in order to be able to slap shot and do one timers. I was using skill stick and it is like right stick up input is not working. 

If there is nothing wrong with the controller ($200 scuff) I shouldn't have to try a $50 one.

Without trying another controller, we can't rule out any issues with your current one. On your Xbox, go to Settings > Devices & connections > Accessories. Click on the beaker icon under the Configure button. It's on the right side. Try testing it here to see if up is working.

Yes I already did that and said it tested fine. Why would it be the controller if the inputs test fine and works in other games? Also I understand how troubleshooting works. So I took all these steps prior to reaching out.

I did what you asked and slap shots work set on skill stick with my old xbox one controller. So now the question becomes why does it not work with my xbox one scuff controller?

Thank you for your help. It seems it's something with the controller and you are correct. Just strange I play a lot of fps games and up input works fine.

That's pretty odd that you wouldn't have issues with other games. If you can let me know what happens, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
