Input delay is always a nasty thing to deal with, especially in a heavily 'twitch' focused game like NHL.
If you're using wifi I suggest going wired (even if that means getting a 100ft cable). Next best solution would be a powerline adapter - they act as a sort of middleground of both wifi and wired so your speed won't be as high, but it would be wayyyy more stable.
If it comes down to geographical/regional server location I'm sorry to say there won't be much anyone can do. Servers are created, in part, due to population density so if you're on an island in the middle of nowhere the results will be suboptimal.
I think I remember you saying uou've already spoken to support before but maybe there is a different agent who could assist you better?
