Error codes
When you purchase a game and it gives you an error code. New year same problems. Wish 2K had rights to make a hockey game cause they would smash it.

Can you give me some details? When are you getting this error and what does it say? What system are you playing on?

Getting a long digit code saying failed to receive data. I play on Xbox series X. I restarted the game 3 times and my console once. I thought maybe I need to complete the roster update but that wasn’t the fix. I haven’t tried restarting my router but I shouldn’t have to do that since I can play any other online game with no issues.
When are you getting the error? I've seen others with a similar report saying they were able to delete and reinstall the game to resolve this. You could also try deleting the personal saved data. To do that, press the Guide button and then highlight the NHL 23 tile. Then, hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it. Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it. There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this. Let me know what happens.

HUT and WOC my buddy is also having the same problem and he is on Xbox series S. I had him check to make sure it isn’t just me.
When exactly do you get the error? Did you try those power cycling steps I mentioned?
I get the error as I press the HUT or WOC. It tries to load but then after 30 seconds it’s gives me the error. I haven’t had the opportunity to try these things you suggested since I am currently working. But will give you updates when I get the chance.

@EA_Aljo FWIW - I have this problem too, on PS5. Happens more than 50 percent of the time when trying to start a HUT or WOC game. Happens even for single player games.
