I really do feel your pain.
I have just come back from a weeks vacation. After coming back I have really noticed how bad the input lag is.
Im am experiencing the same issues.
The need to press pass 2 or 3 times before it registers and actually passes the puck. At some point in time, it was possible to make a quick touch and go pass. Thats impossible now.
When skating back in the offensive zone and trying to paas across to the defender, The input lag is so bad it passes the puck back in the defensive zone, because the game still has not registered the lateral thumbstick movement.

I always play on a wired connection (1000 mbit)
I have tried 3 different controllers, with the same result. Std. Controller, elite controller and Elite 2 controller. And it is always plugged in. Because i have noticed a slight difference from wireless to wired connection.

Only in online modes. (Champs, rivals)
The wierd thing is, that one game its like this the wole game. Im double tapping every time to get a "quick" pass away.
Then the next game, everthing is fast paced, shots and passes register right away.
Next game again, its back to "normal"
Only a few games really feel great
