I can’t select position in world of chel

Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? Cursingbird57
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Everytime I try to play world of chel I go into the lobby and it doesn’t let me select a position.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can’t select a position and can not play the game
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to play the game I paid money for
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Online

Every time I log into world of chel I go into 3v3 or 6v6, drop in or clubs it doesn’t matter, im shown the lobby screen where I can select a position and every time it doesn’t let me select. If I press A nothing happens, if I move the joystick left or right nothing happens, if I press B nothing happens, if I press L3 to change lobbies nothing happens. I can press the bumpers and go to loadouts or any other tab normally but the lobby doesn’t work. I’ve restarted game and still doesn’t work. I’ve completely turned off and unplugged Xbox and still doesn’t work. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the game and still doesn’t work.

Do you have a custom gamerpic? If so, can you replace it with a default image?

No custom pic - default photo of a penguin.

Try using a completely different load out. Let me know if that makes a difference or not. Thank you.

Attempted that as well - both with modified traits, and with a completely different selection - both unsuccessful.

Thanks for trying. Next, I'd like you to delete the personal saved data for NHL 23.

Press the Guide button and then highlight the NHL 23 tile.

Hit the Menu button. It's the small one to the right of the Guide button with 3 horizontal lines on it.

Next, go to Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. Delete the file with your gamertag on it.

Delete the file with your gamertag on it.

There is the risk of losing offline saves and changes to settings you've made. Normally, those download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee this.

I have the same problem and it only started last week. My brother can only be goalie and it won’t let him switch for at least 5 months now . We tried all the problems you guys just talked about. For me recently it randomly works. Yesterday I could play but today I couldn’t I just never know. * ridiculous

Tried removing the data file as well, no change in behavior. Even no longer being on the EASHL team doesn’t make a difference.
What else? At this point, who can actually fix this? Is this a Microsoft issue, EA issue, or Xbox issue? I haven’t been able to play this game for 4 months.

Are you able to get invited to a lobby and have it work? Also, do drop-ins cause the same problem?

Yes - invites to lobbies has the same behavior. I’ve also tried being the one to start the lobby and invite others, same deal. Unable to ever pass position selection & cannot back out of world of chel at all.
Same goes drop ins as well - any permutation of online (clubs, 3s, 6s), all stuck.
