Is anything being done about Truculence?
Please can someone from EA explain how truculence is balanced for 3v3 club play, would love to hear a response… You guys nerfed stick checking for 23, yet truculence remains just as good if not bett...

@TITAN_NHL This 1000x. The fact that boarding and charging penalties aren’t in 3s is the only reason it’s overpowered. They can literally leave it the same had they add penalties to 3s. It’ll stop those cornball enforcer builds immediately when every time you smash someone it’s a penalty shot. Luckily not too many got it unlocked yet unless they’re running an enforcer. They need to remove truculence from power forwards too. There’s maybe 2 power forwards in the league and that’s Reaves (more enforcer than PF though) and Wilson. Yet these damn power forwards have high stick checking, high defensive awareness, high body checking, on par shooting power/accuracy that a playmaker/dangler have, have high balance. Power Forwards aren’t like that in the NHL let alone the power forwards doing dekes and keeping the puck lmfaooooo. I’m using a sniper build and can barely hit dekes with an 88 deke and then I see enforcers and PF doing dekes and holding on to the puck because their stick is bigger than mine? They also need to remove the damn build sizes on everything. If Ovi is 6’4 and 235 pounds why the hell can’t I make that build on Chel? Anyways I agree with literally everything you said you just had more patience than me to actually write it all down lol. I got so mad at 22 that I deleted the game a week earlier than I wanted to because of every 3s game club game everyone was 2 PFs with gold truculence. At least in 23 it seems you actually have to be a big body to use truculence I tried using it with a sniper 6’1 160 and 86 body checking and still couldn’t move anyone used a PF and smashed anyone trying to deke or drive the net. It’s definitely needing a fix this year and hopefully the development team don’t forget about us in 3s.
Yep penalties alone would be enough of a change to make it at least remotely fun to play again. Beyond annoying when you pass the puck, skate 3 strides then get blasted by truculence over and over all game because of the amount of grace period they have to hit you after moving the puck.

Not to mention the magnetization of players to the puck carrier. The auto-aim on a body check with truculence is insane. There's zero skill there other than holding RS.

- @KidShowtime1867 Along with a half dozen other XFactor abilities. Elite teams in EASHL randomly throw pucks into the blue paint because forwards are likelier to score by spamming RS than a D is likely to pick up a loose puck and move it to a safe area.
XFactors were the stupidest idea to add in the year they actual brought back player customization. Instead of building a character to suit a playstyle, it's a bunch of cartoony boosts.hitting is really bad compared to 22....no consistiency
