Male vs Female EASHL

As far as I know, the only advantage to picking a female avatar is no fighting - checking/being hit remains the same. I've been asking for more equality since they were introduced into the game; I don't see it changing.

I don't understand where this notion that female characters are harder to hit comes from. The only guess I have is that the "anti-woke" crowd thinks that EA is making women overpowered because of some agenda, which is just silly. I don't know where else this idea could have come from. 

I do agree that there should be a "no-fighting" option that you can toggle off and on before the game. Getting forced into fights is just super annoying and unrealistic. 

I think the reason you couldn't hit that player off the puck is because they're max size with probably max balance, strength, and puck control. The gender was irrelevant, as you're going to struggle to hit anyone with a 6'9 270 build. 

It's not unrealistic but certainly annoying, especially when it is the game engine that forces it to happen.

Meathead builds definitely have an extreme advantage, but I firmly believe there is a deeply rooted flaw to the hitting system that is bring abused

I've never noticed a difference between the male and female model whatsoever. 99% cosmetic. The only difference is you see a lot more female goons so they can mash you up without having to sit in the box for a fighting major afterwards. I'm fine with the female characters not fighting though. I don't feel like we need to go too deep into the gender based conspiracy theories.

I dont think the gender matter too, both male and female models have the mysterious hitting bubble sometimes, I can't tell if one or the other has it more or less.

But I disagree on the fighting though, it should be for everyone or not at all, it's a video game, a fiction and you play nhl, there's fighting in the nhl, gotta deal with it. It make no sense that when I make a solid clean hit, an opponent can force me into a fight but the female model is clean of everything even with the nastiest assault on the board. It's just unfair. 
Same goes for forced fight after a whistle if you take a shot on the opposing goalie, many times mistakenly, again one can do it at will while the other can't at all.

I don't beleive one bit anyone would purposely go into a fight with a female model for....you know what, it's ridiculous. Most poeples don't even make the difference/pay attention to the models while in game...

To make it fair, like others mentioned, there should be an option where I can choose to not be forced into fights. Problem solved. But it take the hockey spirit a little away though.

There is absolutely no difference in hitting between male/female builds.  None.  Please, let's not create more wildly absurd theories here.  Most folks use female characters to avoid fighting.  Since the game offers no way out of a fight after a great play, I use a female build to ensure that the momentum I just created for me team is not canceled out because the game gave their teammates the right to stop me from playing and fight, then sit in the box for 5+ minutes.  

Fighting options should only occur when the hit results in both a penalty AND an injury, or if both players agree to it before the puck drop...and really, each player should only get 1 fight per game. 

I've easily clocked in 1,000+ fights with like a 90% win rate - I should be allowed to fight as many times as I want if the other guy agrees to it. Being forced to fight after a good/clean hit is just plain wrong

In case you were talking about in-game momentum where a boost is applied, that doesn't exist. If you meant your own personal feeling of momentum, that's different. There was a time that big hits added a boost to the old momentum system that was in the game, but that has been gone for many years now.

I’ve long been a proponent of putting the instigator penalty in the game for the “forced” fighting.   It would deter a lot of these idiots.
