@KidShowtime1867 I don't remember it being toxic at alllllll back then. The most toxic it got was people spamming about how good their stats were.
Same here! We had so much fun then. Your club would face us often. I was a big hitting D-man that could put up points. Used to be top on leaderboards for OTP. Not so much anymore since I hardly play EASHL. Kind of why I got into HUT is because club members aren't around as much. Pretty much disbanded after NHL 19.
Even HUT is falling apart and LG or banana leagues are the only thing saving this game.23 isn't going to last until NHL 24 sadly the way it's going.
- @BIGRlTCHY even with LG people aren't connecting anymore being the population is dying. If you go to the chat box it's rarely "looking for rd" or anything like that. It's all people going, "rd here, looking for game" because there's an excess of players who want to play 6s but can't because the matchmaking engine is so bad that they can't find 6s games.
Same thing with all of the discords. Everybody's friends are leaving to play other games so their circles are dwindling and now they're left solo with nothing to play but 2's or 3's. The community is even falling apart of Twitch too! NHL just isn't fun to stream for us anymore. There are a few who stream still but it's not as great as it used to be Gameplay is horrendous! Just watching my AI positioning is hurting my eyes since I come from a hockey family who played Junior to Pro level and the positional play of the wingers is horrible, In the D-zone the weak side winger needs to protect high side of the point and center The winger on the side where the puck is needs to stay low by the boards close to the circle while center goes for the puck, If the center is being manned on, the winger then jumps in to help attack, while weak side winger stays to cover the center and other wings positions.
Just simple hockey goes a long way! This is too arcade for me tbh.
