So this is an oldie but a goodie...let me start by saying i know how to properly aim passes...I've been playing since 94 on genesis so take my word for it plz i know how to aim a pass.Sooo....racing up the ice and there are two recipient options for a one time setup..one covered or otherwise in worse shot position like just inside blue line....and the other option is wide open eagerly awaiting a free tip in or one time goal...I carefully line up and aim the pass, including turning stick and body towards intended recipient...i hit that pass button....and.....the AI overrides me and PASSES TO THE WRONG PERSON...EVERY....SINGLE....TIME..ONE Ts are hard enough after being nerf hammered...I don't need the AI turning my smart passes into stupid ones to boot..Can I get a witness here? I know this isnt just me...

In hut, my team, settings, controller settings, it’s the bottom one of skater settings. Now if only there was a way to make my goalie actually make saves!!!

This could have to do with the connection issues you reported. Also, check your online pass assist. If it's at 100%, you're going to get the max assist. Try lowering that so they are more in your control.

Thanks i will do that, i wasnt aware there was an "online" setting for pass assist, but since pass assist is mostly trash, i will def check it out...doesn't really explain why the AI would choose to override my input to make a terrible pass tho.

@EA_Aljo Where might these "online" pass assist settings be? I see no slider options in the HUT menus, and the main settings have no discrete "online" settings

Nah the passing is garbage, as it has gotten worse with every update. I have had numerous 2 on 1 or even none situations and it’s a straight across pass and my player throws it behind the net.

There have been no changes made to passing. I'm also seeing plenty of good passing, but will keep an eye out for this.

Could it be from progression?
Different plays forming more often?
I've had plenty of those tight twitch passing plays go in totally weird directions
Say you're trying to pass cross crease and there are 2 options there, it will pass to the far option a lot of the time instead of the closer/more open one.
3 O'clock on the RS and it goes to the far option right wing, passing almost 12 O'clock on the RS and it goes to the proper close centre option (when both are 3 O'clock)
Also you just can't make a 2 foot pass lol

It's possible the online pass assist is going to another player in the same lane of the one you're trying to pass to. You could try lowering this in the controller settings.

I tried fiddling around with it, I found it affected the other passes more than the same lane ones.
I'm really not sure how the pass assist is supposed to work.
