Ask him to try connecting his console to a mobile hotspot and try creating the team. Then, have him switch back to the normal connection.
the hot spot did not work either, he has tried his xbox x on my wifi, his wifi and his hotspot, as well as signing into his xbox account on my xbox x and still cannot create a team without getting the error

This is really strange. Can you try factory resetting your Xbox? I'm really not sure what else to suggest as so far, most everyone has resolved this with using a different team name.
the factory reset worked! We used the same team name as we tried before when the error kept coming up so im not sure what was causing it but it has been resolved, thank you so much

Any time I try to play hockey ultimate team it lets me make my roster name then it kicks me out and it has lent ever work since I got the game

I moved your post to the already existing thread on this issue. Try using a different name. This error happens when you choose a name that is already in use. You can also try adding some characters to your name to see if that makes it different enough.
Hi, i have xbox series x and xbox one s, they are in two different locations. i bought nhl 23 for the X and started my hockey ultimate team there. Now I want to continue building that hut team on the one s but when I logged in and installed the game, it starts the team from the beginning. and I have the same account on both.
can you help me get the ultimate team, i have paid so much money and it doesn’t even work.That worked for me as well thank u
