Nhl 23 goalie
hello, i am writing to you to complain about the goalkeepers at nhl 23! why are they so bad? please correct that because it makes my gaming experience extremely disappointing! thank you
Hey there, @StonySherm
Thanks for the feedback. Would you be able to get some video of the goalie issues you're seeing?
How are you acting like this is a new problem? We have literally been complaining about this exact same issue since nhl 14. The AI goalie for our teams are lucky to post a .850 and the opposition's AI goalie seem to never post below .920. Usually around .940. Look at how many complaints you have year after year about the same issues. Goalie imbalance. AI incompetence. One sided penalties. Offside issues. The average hockey game in real life ends 3-2. A .880 night for a goalie is usually terrible and one of his worst all year. Not the best game he plays all year. I shouldn't have to grind so hard to outscore my opponent when I only let 10 shots against all game. From nothing angles and routine save shots from range with no traffic. I lost a game 9-8 today and shots on goal were 78-10. Fix the problems we all have. Do your job. Learn from the mlb the show team. They are great. Talk to them. They listen to the community and fix the problems in the next years release at the ABSOLUTE LATEST. Usually a patch. They are open and honest about the issues with some of the programming and AI learning but commit to fixing the issues. That's part of why that game makes more money. Again, we have had the exact same complaints for almost a decade. If this issue is a surprise to literally anyone on that team they should be fired immediately and replaced by someone who cares about the customer because they understand that's who buys the games and keeps them employed. TLDR: DO YOUR JOB
EXACTLY! I actually toned down the AI shot accuracies to 1 and they are still getting goals after taking one shot. I was winning via shutout and just like clockwork, the AI team shoots their 8th shot and it goes in. It was like my goalie was asleep. No traffic, not a perfectly timed shot, basically got it from between the two faceoff circles. First shot. Went in. I take the same shot and their goalie ALWAYS blocks it. I even have my goalie settings all the way up to 100 because I got tired of the computer cheating all the time.
And since EA has NEVER fixed penalties, I basically toned my penalties down to 1-5 and the computer I kept at their default position. Now, I don't get penalty after penalty for playing hockey. I still get them, but the penalties are much more even than they used to be.
And I get tired of playing the game and I take 10 shots and none go in, but the very first shot the computer takes goes in perfectly as if the puck found a loophole around my goalie. I am about to decrease the computer's shots to 0 across the board if EA doesn't fix this game, which I know they won't. Ea only wants money. They don't care about their product. If they did, we would have had more updates than what we have gotten. We have had how many updates total? Like 2?
And they will be coming out with another installment of the same rehashed game with all the same problems. All they do is copy/paste and charge 70 bucks for it without lifting a finger in development. Every game is exactly the same. I can parrot the announcers word for word because they have been saying the same things for several years! What laziness on the part of EA. Nothing new. I am about to turn off the announcers completely because they same the same stuff over and over and it's getting old.
But, sadly, as long as EA is at the helm, the NHL games will NEVER be the way when 2K was making them. It's a shame that San Diego Studios can make the MLB extremely well and EA just rehashes the same old content and expect us to shell out 70-120 dollars for the same title but with a new year and new cover art. Why? Because it's the only NHL game out there since 2K wussed out on everyone and stopped making good games. So we are stuck with the worst gaming company on the planet for our hockey fix. It's a real sad shame...
