Nhl 23 X Factor edition ps4 not working

I recently purchased the NHL 23 X factor edition for PS4 but it won't let me play with my friends who have PS5? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    Hi there, @secondaccountci 

    Unfortunately, there is no cross-generation play with NHL 23. Your friends will need to have be playing the PS4 version of NHL 23 in order to play with you. This comes with the X-Factor edition. Unfortunately, PS4 players cannot play PS5 players through the PS4 version of the game.

    Found it!

    1. Log into your EA Account at EA.com

    2. Go to Account Settings -> Security

    3. DISABLE 2-Factor Authentication

    4. On your console, close NHL 23 and reboot the game

    5. Attempt to connect to the EA servers

    This should temporarily resolve the issue.

    When the issue is officially fixed you should turn 2-Factor Authentication back on to ensure your account is secure.
